    I'm on the racket journey since I cracked my old Yonex DR's, I tried these two not sure what is was but the PRO was great and the MP was spraying the ball all over the place, I got nore control from a Pure Aero 100.

    A lot depends on swing style. I recently got the pro. Now i can really take bug cuts and swing speeds and its amazing. I went higher in tension and i feel like i dont have to he scared to overhit. Big note! I tried it with a few strings and it made a big defference. Lower tension wasnt working so well. I have never strung at 56 but it works!

      100%, I tried tensions from 45-51lbs and just didn’t like it, went to 54lbs with Lynx Tour and absolutely clubbing the ball and feeling confident and controlled still, such a powerful racquet yet there’s so many comments saying they don’t find it powerful enough, maybe they’re unable to swing the heftier frame…I’d be happy going 55-56 still as it’s such a comfortable frame too

      @@ollesv7652 That's because I found the MP so cheap, and I figured I didn't play at a high enough level for racquets to make a difference. But I did find the MP a bit light compared to my earlier wilson prostaff 6.1, which is now too heavy for me, since I am no longer a young guy. That's why I added weight, and it's great for me the way it is now, at 303 grams unstrung. I've never tried the pro, but I think I would have no problem either. Modern racquets are all good. After a while, you get used to the racquet. Even at the pro level, players switched racquets too, for endorsement, like Djokovic switching from Wilson to Head. Didn't affect his game at all. Just took some time to adjust. So for all rec players, I think we can play with any modern racquet, as long as it's not too heavy or too light, and only the player can make that decision. I quit playing for 10 years and began again when I was significantly older and suddenly I found the weight of my usual racquet too much to handle. So I had to switch.

      I own both racquet. Short answer is Radical Pro has more power. Even if the cpi is 200 , the radical pro has more “free power” compared to speed pro. Speed pro is more control oriented. The power from speed pro is more depends on player’s effort.

      I've tried lots of Ezone 98s and use the Speed MP '22; the Speed MP is quite a lot like the Ezone 100, but a lot different to the Ezone 98, the 98 having lots more control a little less spin and power compared to the Speed MP. You need to try them in own hands really but they're very different racquets imo.

    Excellent review! I have the Youtek IG Speed MP and the 2019 Speed Pro and both are great. The downside of the Speed Pro is that, in my opinion, when I used my regular string tension, it was very hard for me to lift the ball, I had little net clearance with it. But then I lowered the tension from 25kgs to 23.5kgs and it worked wonders. Then I found a natural gut offer and it was even better haha!

    Good morning, I have a question. Some say that stiffness determines whether one racket is more powerful than another, but others say that it is the power scale or psi that determines it. If you can clarify that for me, I would appreciate it, because it happens that the radical, for example, has 65 RA while the speed pro 2022 has 61 RA, which suggests that the radical is more powerful but when you look at the power scale, the radical has 200 and the speed pro 300 suggesting that the speedpro is more powerful. Thank you very much for answering .

    • @MPTennis
      @MPTennis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! It's a great question and I understand the confusion. The stiffness (RA - Racquet Stiffness Rating) and power scale (or psi - Power Potential) are indeed factors to consider when evaluating the power of a tennis racket, but they measure different aspects.
      Stiffness (RA): A higher RA value generally indicates a stiffer frame. Stiffer rackets tend to provide more power because they transfer more energy to the ball. However, a very stiff racket can also be less forgiving on off-center hits.
      Power Scale (psi - Power Potential): This measures the power potential of a racket based on the string pattern and tension. A higher power scale suggests that the racket has the potential to generate more power, often due to a more open string pattern or lower string tension.
      Now, regarding your specific example with the Radical and the Speed Pro, it's crucial to note that the power scale of a racket is not solely determined by the RA value. The overall design, string pattern, and string tension also play significant roles.
      In your case, while the Radical has a higher RA (stiffer frame), the Speed Pro's power scale of 300 suggests that it has a higher power potential, likely due to its string pattern and tension. It's not just about stiffness.

    • @benjaminjensen111
      @benjaminjensen111 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Radical Pro has a different material lay up and different beam thickness and frame design thus a different return of energi response to the ball at point of contact/hit/strike...this despite the higher stiffness at midt-point. You cant only look at stiffness regarding the ball energy return.

    • @saifuddinmohammed2225
      @saifuddinmohammed2225 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You definitely have to. Adding weight in the head increases swing weight and makes the racquet more head heavy in balance. You then have to add weight to the handle/ butt cap to make the racquet a little head light and easier to swing (without decreasing swing weight whatsoever).
      Personally I add at least half a gram of weight extra towards the butt as compared to what I've added in the head. This follows the rule the rule that the heavier the racquet the more head light it should be. Tennis warehouse university has some good articles on racquet customization if you want to explore more
