The Hyryder makes no qualms of being a sporty SUV, and that said, it is a very fine product for most buyers. An enthusiast of course would look at sportier offerings since FE isn't the primary requirement
I wish strong hybrids do come to more cars, even the hatchbacks. The smoothness of the petrol engines and the efficiency - best of both worlds. I do hope the government acknowledges this and reduces taxation on production of strong hybrids thus making it accessible to more people, reducing emissions load on the environment. These type of cars are way to go in terms of distance driving without really depending on the charging infrastructure as in electric vehicles.
I wonder what the cost would be to replace those batteries. I remember back in 2010 Civic came out with the hybrid. Those cars went very cheap in the used market in just about 4-5 years due to the fact their battery pack cost 4L to replace
If I buy a venue for 11 lacs, run 70 kms a day for 8 years. Total cost would be 20 lakhs. 2 more lakhs for maintenance and insurance. So running coat Venue is better if space is not a constraint.
Venue is a much smaller car compared to this. Venue at one point wasn't selling. its just that now before the Suzuki and Toyotas product there was nothing else to choose if you couldn't afford a creta at 20Lfor the top end and didnt want a Tata

Dude B-mode is not meant for regular driving , it is Engine braking mode it is used when you go downhill to get braking effect from engine which prevents your brakes from fading and overheating.

Thank you for showing a walkthrough of the cluster as well. I can finally see there is no option to show the map in the cluster which is extremely disappointing. The entire point of the digital cluster for me was the map in front of me so i don't have to glance to the side to the infotainment to see the map. I guess I will wait for a car that ticks all my boxes.
Both the petrol engines on the mild-hybrid as well as the strong hybrid are 4-cylinder units. The engine kicking in (on the strong hybrid) is quite seamless though the powertrain itself sounds strained when pushed hard

Comparing Hyryder Neodrive Automatic Vs Hyryder eCVT strong hybrid automatic , the difference is anly around +2L which you can recover within 5 years with additional 5+ Km more mileage and you get a refined driving experience!! I have booked Hyryder Strong Hybrid eCVT.
It's not a enthusiasts car. Good for fuel conscious drivers. Clearly for sedate drivers! 0-100 kmph even in 12 secs is nothing to boast about. City hybrid is better in terms of safety as well as driving feel!
19L and 20L for a hybrid is way too expensive. In markets like USA the difference between ICE and hybrid is just 1500 USD which is just 1.2L. Indian consumers are not gonna buy this overpriced cars initially or until they priced it competitively.
They could have used the Turbo strong hybrid suzuki engine from Scross sold in Europe, but suzuki &Toyota be lyk :" no India isn't ready for such tech yet " . 🤷🏻♂️
I have a feeling that though the Grand Vitara/Hyryder will eat some of its sales, the Creta will still be the king of this segment as it is a more rounded package with engine options for all kinds of drivers. Plus the premium feel which you get inside a Creta is something which is still unmatched by rivals.

For me, Creta has one of the most basic looking and feeling interiors with no soft touch panels anywhere. The finishing is better here which I saw in the dealership

What is EV mode? Does it run purely on EV power as well and for how many KMs?
In the pure ev mode i heard the other 3 to 4 youtubers mentioning about 8 to 10 kms range and again it goes to engine mode and recharge the batteries
As long as charge is there it will run on pure EV mode. But not for more than 4-6km

We didn't experience any heating up of the cabin on our relatively short drive. Sunlight entering can be a cause for concern
