This is the second Ural video you have done. You clearly enjoy it. I think I need one!
Another example on why I love my Ural. It's the ultimate "dad" bike and my kids love traveling with in on our Ural.

Glad to see you including your family-I tried to go the Ural route a few years back, but my wife would have none of it. I envy you being able to include them. Enjoy the little one while you can - my two boys are teenagers now and they don’t think much of me at the moment. I guess it’s a good time for me to ride solo...

I have 104K on one of these beasts, they are fun, not hard to maintain and mine has been down right dependable. Riding 300 miles to a Ural rally in Holopaw, Florida next weekend, and back of course! Enjoy.

@Liberty Tree , same here. Lost mine when I was 19. I'm 50 now and still ride almost daily. I have him to thank for sharing his passion for riding with me that has lasted me 4 and a half decades.

Sidecars are awesome. I enjoyed sharing my Ural with my kids, when the thing was running. I got a lemon. It was fun when it ran, but always had something failing. I'll get a sidecar again some day, but probably get a sidecar to put on the side of a Triumph modern classic. I have a Scrambler that would be a perfect tug.

Sidecar hacks are just fantastic fun. If you ever get the chance, ride a rigid outfit ie no rear suspension and a rigid sidecar wheel. I'm tellin ya, the fastest thing on the road going round a wet greasy roundabout. Sliding the back end on the throttle. Mine was a unit Triumph 650 motor in a full rigid outfit. Anybody want to build an outfit for a project, IMO the best basis is a Guzzi big twin or airhead BM. Regards from NE Thailand.

My wife wants me to get a Ural to put in the pick up bed for transportation when we park our travel trailer while traveling the USA.
The dogs already like riding on my motorcycles so everyone can enjoy the ride with a sidecar.

Proud Ural owner here, I've put over 21,500km (13,300 miles) on mine, riding to work, through the Blue Ridge Mountains, down fire roads with my friends as the beer cooler vehicle, and along the East Coast.
I love mine, and the memories it's helped me make. Thumbs up!
Edit: I got a 2016 Gear Up, purchased Summer of 2017.
Ghost of Belka I have one as well, and frequent the blue ridge and fire roads when I’m in the mood to camp. The Ural is a hilarious break from 2 wheels

My lady is Asian and I recognized those looks at the beginning of the video... seemed like she really did get into the ride later.
I considered a Ural seriously for a couple of years but in California lane sharing shaves so much time off my rides that I shelved the idea. Maybe in retirement.
I bought a 55 inch tv and took it home on my Ural

In Ireland and the U.K. You do not have to wear a helmet in a sidecar.only on the motorcycle .is the law different in the U.S

I love the Ural. There is just something about it that the Can Am Spyder and the Polaris Slingshot just don't have.

As an avid side car rider I enjoyed the vid - but please never ever strap your child - or an adult, for that matter - to yourself this way. Just imagine what your body might do to his in case of an accident. I know: side cars do not fall over the way solo bikes do, but when you hit a car, the effect will be the same. Kids ride in the side care as long as they're not strong enough to hold themselves in place on the buddy - and that's year past the age that allows them to ride on the back of a solo bike. Have fun!

I assume the 2-wheel drive makes the Ural more stable, and they must be reliable, given the other Ural rider had been as far as Alaska. Is that a storage compartment in the tank?

Yeah there's a storage compartment in the tank, about the size of a 4-pack of eggs.
The 2WD makes it almost impossible to steer. You’re almost just along for the ride with it engaged. The CT is lower, and handles way better. I’ve been on some pretty rough terrain, and have never been stuck. 2WD might make a difference in serious mud or sand... I borrowed a friends Gear Up for a few weeks before I bought mine, and bought a CT after the test ride. Much better bike I feel

Looks like a blast for short excursions but think I'd opt for a Jeep on a long road trip.. top up/dwn, no helmet/riding gear req'd.. and by adding the stealth sleeping/storage assembly, 2 can sleep inside! try that in a Ural. 😊

Is it really much if a "thing" to get used to the side-car handling excentricities? I wish a couple of the Japanese "big 4" would make dedicated side-car rigs.
Norsefalconer It takes a bit to get used to, especially if you’re coming from 2 wheels. Once you get enough seat time, it’s an absolute riot and brings a smile to strangers faces.
