Then these people are antiwhite, the fact that some one would see a older white man in a younger one as something negative, is all part of the antiwhite narrative we live under.
I got color analyzed years ago and came out as a classic winter, most worthwhile hour I ever spent as far as figuring out what colors worked best on me...Also, since I am in my late 60's and have kept myself in excellent shape I tend to wear what I like and not what is "trending"...Have you ever seen what is in the stores that cater to old white guys???...Not happening...

This is doubly true for fathers. They are role models for sons, and they teach social cues to daughters.

I'm 62 and feel too old for this channel. Not sure what skin tone I have. Cannot wear white, or ANY light colors, they wash me out. I stick to black, charcoal, dark blue, burgundy, dark green. In the last 16 mos. I've lost 38 lbs. so now I have a huge selection of pants. I know my tailor well.
You're not too old. You're just feeling that way. I know plenty of people a fraction your age who can't lose 38lbs even if they need to shed triple that amount. You're not too old, but your mentality of thinking you are is weighing you does. A lot of guys half your age can't do what you physically did. Think about that, keep up that work, dress to make yourself smile, and you'll feel younger than you have in ages. I bet.

Colour is a classic. I remember Alpha M shopping at the mall for jeans way too tight, to this day, his voice gets a bit high. ;) I also switch to TH-camrs that also target my age but am open to younger ones that dress more classic like Gent Z who is half my age but still looks good. I do like a vintage classic style, but don't take it over the top so you look like you are an extra on a Broadway production of a show set in the Victorian times.

Great video, i must admit that i like to use a lot of bracelets, will follow your advice and try to use less accesories, maybe use a different one each day. A little advice trimming your nose hairs. These hairs prevent foreign particles from entering your body, dont trimm them totally if you dont wanna get sick.

I just recently did a summer purge of some of my clothes. Got rid of the cheap striped polo's and worn out pants. I even got rid of some of my shoes that either didn't fit my style or I simply didn't wear that often. Donating the items to a rescue mission. Now I'm at the point though where I have a very limited selection of items to choose from, so I need to go shopping. Given that I'm in my mid 40's now, I plan to be a bit more picky about what I buy so that it can be universal pieces. As for the favorite sports hoodies, well...I am keeping these. But wearing them when the occasion fits.

Personally, I've always worn Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, etc, since I was a teenager. Some clothes make you look like you're mature, some make you look childish. When I was young, I never wanted to be childish. And, now that I'm older, childish clothing looks ridiculous on me.
Every guy in his 20s/30s/40s who goes into Hollister needs to watch this video! Remember, Hollister is designed for teenagers!
I kinda dress in the 20s, 30s, style. Suspenders, hats, very old school. I'm 40. That's DEFINITELY out of date but I feel it's almost edgy in a way. Idk.. I get told I look 30.

I think what’s important to remember is most men are not Johnny Depp, Keith Richards, or Jimmy Buffet (RIP). We can’t pull off the same look we had in our 20’s when we’re in our 50’s, 60’s, or older.

49 years old here. Had to stop going to the corner barber shop, because there isn't one anymore. The 12 dollar super cut places, you might as well cut your own hair. The military style zipperhead look places, no thanks. So that leaves the 60 dollar salon places and I can't tell you how many barbers I had to go through until I found one that understood I wasn't looking for a hipster look.
Finding a good barber is definitely a journey! I retired from the Navy and moved back to NYC last year, and it took me until 2 months ago to find a good barber that not only cuts the way I like, but also didn't take hours out of my day. Until then I was traveling 2 hours out of state every 2 weeks to get my hair cut in CT. A great haircut makes you feel like a new man.
Try a Flo-bee. My father-in-law cut my hair with his 30 years ago and I was sold on it. Haven't paid for a haircut since.
Nothing beats a good barber experience. It’s like finding a good taylor. Once you find one that understands you, you’ll never look for another again. My advice, look around, you may need to travel a little, but having a good barber cut your hair is priceless. I travel 45 minutes to get to my barber. But he’s never allowed me to walk out looking anything but my best. Haircuts are all about face shape, morning and daily routines and age. Something salons don’t understand.

I firmly believe anyone who feels the need to put "real" in front of "men", however much they deny it, is trying to shame or manipulate you into their way of thinking. Women do it all the time to shame men into doing what they want them to, as do some men. I suppose there are some men who are vain enough to concern themselves about this kind of thing, thankfully I'm actually old enough to not care about looking old.
But if you're under 50 and want a practical way to make your age almost impossible to determine - shave your head and your face. People judge by things they are familiar with, no hair removes clues about colour or style. No more time or money wasted in barber's, just buy a decent razor and scrub your skin to get a really close shave and extend the life of your blade.

It's a shame, even white if not layered can slightly wash me out, it's not as harsh as some other colours, but it really takes some trial and error to get it right. I've found matching eye color works well for me, not sure if that could be a universal rule though.

Today I was shopping, I’m 38 and I was trying on my “regular” clothes and jeans, updating my wardrobe: clean, crispy look, no loud colors (grey black white brown) and in the changing room I overheard some young guy talking to his friend (probably early 20s) sounding so excited about some shirt and shorts, he was trying on - the pattern and colors, he was gonna post on IG, and I was just like “damn i AM old”.

IMO, the #1 thing for guys to not look older before their time is taking care of their physical health. This could mean shaving vs. leaving the terrible combover / power donut, not eating healthy, lack of a skincare routine, not exercising, etc...
Regarding the points made in the video, I gotta disagree on almost all of them.
1. Color - I get how some colors may look better than others on particular skin types (subjectively), but I'm not convinced that wearing the wrong colors will make you look older / younger. Just potentially badly dressed.
2. Trends - he misses an important point that these days, fashion doesn't progress linearly and more than one thing can be "in fashion" at a time. These days, I see people wearing tons of trends from the 90s/00s and 2010s. I'd argue that cargo shorts will make you look more "in style" than some J Crew denim (although they too have cargo pants now).
3. Dressing for your age - how does going to a store that targets your demographic NOT make you look old if you are in fact old? Globalization of fashion also means that most of these stores all carry the same shit anyways.
4. University gear - I'll agree that it might make you look old. But only if you don't take care of yourself. If you are in shape and wearing a university sweater - much different than if you got a beer belly.
5. grooming - agree
6. Glasses - super subjective
7. Pleats are literally in style right now.
8. Outdated color / patterns - agree.

I hate these videos because as a fit guy in his 50’s, this tells me i have to wear a suit or grandpa clothes - and nobody wears suits anymore.
noticed that too. I think it's just his viewpoint on how men should dress. Or maybe he's giving advice to a more "professional" crowd for more formal type events and occasions. I definitely wouldn't dress that way on a daily basis. In fact, I think there is a level of hubris in all this if it isn't necessary for you to dress this way for a job or event.
@@Joe-mp1yj I try to dress a bit better when casual, but most of the people i know of all ages wear t-shirts and jeans or cargo shorts. I usually wear either a t-shirt or a button down with jeans or cargo shorts. 90% of the time i am on my way to or from the gym or some other activity, so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to get dressed up.
I still wear my University polo's because they're Jordan's. And Texas can't wear Jordan's. BOOMER!
