Can someone enlighten me on how songwriters make money out of co-writing or full on writing songs for other artists? Is it one payment where they sell what they wrote or do they have liberties for it? I’ve always been curious about how it works.
it depends on how the songwriter wants. if they want to get a definitive number, they would get it if they deserve. But, you will get 9 cents for every song sold, if you want a royalty ( That's what happens in US, don't know much about other countries. )
