this is really useful and the led let’s you know if the device is charging or not. if you have bad usb cable you will know. the original usb slot charge real slow and annoying if you still have the original head unit
I bought the cheaper one you linked because I didn’t want the LED light, but it didn’t come with the extra splitter cable. Is there any way to buy that separately? I’d prefer not to splice any wires if possible.
Do you know if there is a similar version for the USB/AUX port? With the blue indicator? Would you include a link, if so? BTW - EXCELLENT VIDEO - thanks for the info.
@@guugledelap6199 Yea, it worked great my 2018rav4 and I bought the one that shows the voltage of the car battery/alt, which tells me if my alternator is charging. Also no need to strip out all those trim pieces. I was about to rip everything out when I realize I can use a flat head to remove the cigarette lighter an fish the wires through. took me about 15 mins.
No. The cigarette jack is for extending another line to the rear seats, because the Rav4 didn't think forward enough to accommodate laptops and mobile blu-ray dvd players for passengers.
this is great! I was looking for a tutorial on how to do this. Real clear and simple instructions, and well demonstrated. Thank you!
👍
One hand madness
I was thinking the same thing this man made it look so easy.
This was straight to the point. Thank you!

Thank you very much for sharing this, it helped a lot and there are not so many videos on how to do this.

Can you pop out the factory usb
Outro song? 🤣
Thank you for the video and links. Question, what if the lighter doesn't work. Is there a fuse that may be out? Help.
Yeah your going to need to chase a fuse down, alot of time coins in the outlets blow the fuses, so check all the outlets for coins. 🪙
What about the armrest USB my just went out any answer into how to fix
Should fit.
So that blue light is always on? Even with the car off?
Not when the car is off.
Why not just buy a cigarette lighter fast charger!?
