This video is exactly what I want to know. I couldn't get the power outlet metal casing out. It seems like it's catching somewhere in the back. I plugged in a tire inflator. All power outlets went dead. I replaced two fuses in the fuse box, but the one you are replacing in the video is still dead. I want to check the fusible link on the back of the power outlet but I coudn't get it out. I was almost going to take the power panel out in order to access the back of the power outlet, but three trims need to be removed first. It needs to take them out in a certain order. The power outlet is on the 4th panel. I got stuck on the 3rd trim, which is a coin storage. After doing some research, I now know how to get the 3rd trim out. Great timing. I found this video. It's a lot simpler than I thought. Let me see if I can get it out. Thanks again.
Video is excellent. Removing the black outer piece was much harder than removing the center silver piece. Look at the replacement part to understand the "U" shape of the 2 prongs located at 12 and 6 o'clock. I found switching to a smaller (than I used during the first piece removal) flat screw driver allowed me to get underneath and lift up the prongs, so i could slide out the black piece. Have a needle nose pliers available as the wires are short and the connector (after separation) from the first silver piece tends to slide away from you into the console. .

thank you for the video. i manage to remove mine. i did add usb port connect to the power outlet. i got my usb port on ebay MIT-TOYOTA-RAV4-2007-17-Dual-USB-port-2-1A-Power-Adapter-charger-smart-phone.
Do you know how to take out the panel which has the USB and Power port on it? I can not find a video for that. If we can take out the panel, we can add USB ports by wiring to the current power port. Does any one knows?
Gearmo Auto my USB port works but when I connect my phone char into the smoke thingy it doesn't have any power. I tried the alternate bottom smoke thing with the fast charger and same issue. So my phone forever dying. Lol
+Shawn Zayas i see. Do u have a regular charger cord that u can just use in the usb port? I would check the fuse for the aux port (smoke thing) as well. I have extra usb ports but not the cigarette lighter port.

Did you replace it ? My outlet isn’t working anymore. Fuses are good.
@@helciotsilva No I didn't. Each power outlet has its own fuse. My issue was at fuse.
