So funny fact: there is a card in Gwent that is called cow. It has zero attack power however when it dies or the round ends a new monster card is put in its place that has an attack power of 8... Which is the enemy that shows up when you kill the cows.

Re-playing Witcher3 because of this video. Thanks for re-igniting my interest. Played it once when it came out and absolutely loved this game. Keep making the Witcher3 videos.
Argument against the last easter egg about Thaler: we can encounter him later in the game (not sure if that's a decision dependent character meeting though)
That third choice in the mission missing in action, was introduced earlier in the witcher 1 in which you have to clear a path for some folk, but if you don't do it then all those people will be gone for the rest of the game and the person who gave you the quest will be angry at you, because you let them die.
One of the notice boards in White Orchard (I forget which, unfortunately), complains about a deserter soldier named Odrin, who is described as a drunkard who consumed an insane amount of supplies in a short time. You'll remember Odrin from Witcher 2 if you played Roche's path...specifically, you'll have burned into your brain the drunken calls of his comrades looking for him.
One of my favorite easter eggs in the game is the Pulp Fiction reference in the Bloody Barons basement. The 2 soliders talk about getting the gimp, and him being asleep, to which the other replies well I guess we'll have to wake him up now won't we. 🤣🤣🤣
I laughed out loud (really loudly) when I heard the guards discussing that, and my 11 year old asks me why I am laughing so I start explaining and half way thru I realise the type of ground I am about to cover, the medieval sexual shit I am about to have to justify, and I was shitting myself/ laughing/ cringing and beat a hasty retreat.... 🤣🤦🤣🤦
Best hidden detail I've found so far in the Witcher 3 is when you start playing Blood and Wine. Dulcinea's mill. Loved it. For those who don't get it, look up "Don Quijote & Sancho Panza" by Miguel de Cervantes
Initially I was hesitant in buying Witcher 3, since I prefer graphics over gameplay, but then I saw The Witcher on Netflix in 2019 & felt the urge for more from the lore. I bought this game in February 2020 & I am so surprised that why didn’t I buy this back in 2015. This game truly defines the generation of single player story driven gaming. The battle of Kaer Morhen mission is a Masterpiece, never ever seen before in any other game.
I had just played Skyrim in 2015 and got this for Christmas. It was like a next gen Skyrim. But it's looking old now. Wish there was a 2023 version of an RPG as good as these.
@@Blackdog4818I tried skyrim just few months back on series S game pass. Don’t know but combat felt clunky & visually unappealing. Stopped the game after 30 mins. Maybe I am not a fan of Bethesda rpg formula
Skyrim has some good missions, but the beginning, like Witcher 3, is a slog to get through. And it is OLD with lots of browns and greys. I just played Assassin's Creed for the last two years, "Origin", "Odyssey" and "Valhalla" and the game play was faster. In Witcher you have to click on two buttons to make your horse go, in AC you just pressed the stick forward and you were galloping. You really have to press a lot of buttons in Witcher 3 to move around.
I'm so mad. I missed the quest to look for the brother because I was still a noob and was still trying to figure out how to play the game. I moved on to the next map and when I came back to see if I can do the quest, the guy with the dog isn't sitting there.
Really good video, one critique since it happens to me a lot too when I record, during the 3 fingered soldier fact, there is a part where you are about as loud as the game and that made it difficult to hear you. Again, great video; I'm excited to see your next one
I know your comment is over a year old but when I read it I realized how rare respectful, constructive criticism is on TH-cam and social media in general nowadays. Your comment was very refreshing, keep it up!
Thalers monocle can actually be returned to Thaler much later in the game, and there is even a brief scripted conversation. IF, you get the mod that someone made to fix the small oversight by CDPR. Another small mod which is more useful fixes an issue where two different Herbs point to the same image in the code. "Han" and "Arenaria" specifically. Arenaria is an important/often-used ingredient for potions and decoctions that you will find to be not so rare anymore.
Still the best game made to date. Haven't played for 2 years, but will start again today. Enjoyed your video very much and look forward to more on the Witcher 3. Merry Xmas and happy new year to you and yours. Well done. Cheers, Harry.
I’ve always wanted to play this game just knew I was getting into a lot and I just started and I can’t believe how in depth and how vast this game is. It’s absolutely overwhelming!
I use to use your channel for Skyrim and fallout and glad to see new content for new witcher user. If it's revised it's still great content from you ESO. Keep up the good work. And I also re-download The Witcher 3. I never beat it but the new update corrupted my save data and had to start all over.
The cracked monocle actually has a bit of code in the game that would have allowed you to give it back to Thaler when you meet him later. It was apparently bugged so it can't be completed in-game (and to my knowledge no patch has fixed it), but there are mods out there which repair the bug so you can do the dialogue and give it back. Otherwise it's a tiny chunk of permanent weight in your inventory, because you can never set the silly thing down.
On my first playthrough and I picked up on all these details! 👍🏼 Didn't go to check on the enemy soldiers though after suggesting they take him in but fully expected that detail to be in the game tbh. I did however think there would be more to the frying pan theif quest, perhaps being able to track the other one down
Watched the show then finally got the Witcher 3 and I’m so glad I played it it’s probably one of the best games I’ve ever played , and bless up to you eso this video was super helpful
I’ve beat this game twice and played it at least five times from the beginning and didn’t know about any of these! This is incredible thank you as this is my favorite game
I liked the side quest in White Orchard when you meet the herbalist and have the option of saving an NPC from the wounds of the griffin with a Swallow potion. If you do and then go back to read the actual outcome in the quest log, it shows she survived but the potion also basically melted her mind so she lives out the rest of her days as a vegetable. Where the game litterally says a moment of good from you that turned out to be worse than leaving her to die.
Also, when you come to the South-East Nilfgaard barracks, there is a soldier who she was in love with and he blames you for not ending her suffering. I just noticed this on my first ever playthrough.
I downloaded W3 to my PS4 almost a year ago .. and I just let it lie ... played it a bit just to see them put it down .. I picked it up a few days ago and now I’m really enjoying it . I’m still way in the beginning and I just got to Skelige.. the deeper you go the more addictive it gets .. spent 10 hours on W3 yesterday .. thanks for these vids .. I watch your vids as I go along but I don’t watch EVERYTHING ( for surprise and anti spoiler effect ) .. Thank you for all the content it’s of great help ...
They bury the body too if you return later to that shack with Thalers monocle, just like Geralt asked. Also I'm suprised you didn't mention the whole Claer and Volker story that get's subtly told throughout most of the side quests in entire White Orchard. That blew my mind when I played for the first time!
I remember there being a notice board posting saying that any man who cuts off a finger to avoid enlisting would get both hands cut off. Guess they wised up to that trick.
if you really want something hidden and that you might missed, check out the lower left corner of the map, by the side of the road there's a unmarked nilfgaardian camp with a chest in the middle, i only found this recently when i am replaying witcher 3
I have the switch version loving the game I was killing the cows but I'm new and had no idea I can sell something worth that much and meditate and repeat wow awesomely game also done those side quest you show in the video I'm going to do all side quest this game is very huge
I’m the next videos, can u talk about leveling up swords and upgrading armor. Can you also talk about crafting armor and equipment that is too high of a level
I mean it’s pretty simple, find the diagrams build it. To build enhanced you need to have the normal set built, the same for superior and so on. If it’s too high of a level... level up
The cow farming was a must since you earn one penny and a quarter per hour at the start of the game if you don't loot the entire northern coast on your way to the next sidequest.
I know this isn't in White Orchard, but speaking of careful attention to detail, I was impressed when a character in one DLC asked Geralt about a mark he has on his face only during the storyline of the other DLC.
This was the first game I purchased when I bought my PS4 (Upgraded to a PS4 Pro since then) back in December 2015 and is still my favorite game on the system to this day.
I love how the designers payed homage to their favorite movies in the game. Like in Crows perch main hall basement, they do the whole "bring out the gimp" scene. Or the costume's that Whoreson's henchmen wear.
*Had it for Xbox played a few minutes and never picked it up again, got it for the Switch and can't put it down, I can play in the laundry room while doing laundry or waiting for a machine to free up and I can play while pooping.*
Heh, you are a weird dude amigo, that you felt compelled to share with us you play W3 while takin a duke. (Some swear that was the ONLY reason the Switch was invented!) Truth be told, I’ve been playing PC games since literally their inception, when there were NO color monitors or sounds or even GUI/mice (Graphic User Interface, back in DOS days you had to type everything, even starting games). Anyways, back then b4 they all started just including a shitty pdf file so you could print it out on ur own, games used to include awesome, sometimes enormous game manuals, & my favorite place to read them was on the porcelain throne, lol.
I've just started playing this game for the first time ever, and it's amazing. Just crafted the Serpentine Silver Sword but am so broke can't afford to craft the iron one. I'll get the Moon sword now tho.
Because Thaler is not the dead body in the cabin. That’s not what ESO was implying. If you remember (If you’ve done this quest that is) the old woman says she lent her frying pan to the first man and he was later joined by a second man but only one man left the cabin in the morning. Ergo, the one who left was Thaler, presumably after losing his monocle in some kind of a struggle.
Most definitely. Promise you won't regret it. And now most places PS Store etc. have Xmas specials. Think I saw it for 70% off. Get Game of the Year edition, includes all the DLC which is a MUST with this game.
I had no idea about the cow glitch when I first played about a year ago. I was just having fun killing the cows. Surprised the heck out of me when the chort showed up. I did end up killing it first try as well. Took a while and a ton of signs and dodging. It was a very fun surprise and really tested my newb skills. Lol
Agree 100% the inventory glitch that causes such a painful time delay when you place items in any chest causes you to simply carry literal tons of equipment with you wich removes the ability to Sprint unless a top of Roach. This glitch while it might cause you to sell everything as you acquire it ruined the gameplay for me.
Probably a mod called Over 9000, increasing the capacity. Note that he also has more than usual money also for a level 1 player (almost 10 million) 2:25
@@ESOdanny I hope you will do a proper dive into the side quests though. Maybe in another playthrough, maybe on your own time and not video uploads. But do yourself a favour - do it for yourself. You are truly, truly missing out a whole lot if you avoid the majority of them. In my 33 years of gaming, no other game's side quests match the level of superb writing of The Witcher 3. Also, whatever you do, don't miss out on playing through both B&W and HoS. Those are hands down the best DLC's I've ever played, with B&W being the single best expansion ever made, imo of course.

I’ve played 40 hours of Witcher 3 over the last 2 weeks- my first play through and it’s an amazing game! I’m glad you’re playing it too!
Frying pan quest was great hahaha. I loved it.
I feel bad now... I didnt reach the two soldiers in the shack, I didnt even know about them! Gonna "go back in time" to an old save if it's still there, do the quest, load up current save and just pretend that they lived happily. :((
Weird
Re-playing Witcher3 because of this video. Thanks for re-igniting my interest. Played it once when it came out and absolutely loved this game. Keep making the Witcher3 videos.
Argument against the last easter egg about Thaler: we can encounter him later in the game (not sure if that's a decision dependent character meeting though)
he's not the dead guy, he's the guy who killed him.
Hope everyone who sees this has a great day. :)
Thanks that just improved my day :)
chaos thou art most welcome friend.
Long days and pleasant nights to you
pizza 4breakfast same to you!
And to you kind sir!
One of my favorite easter eggs in the game is the Pulp Fiction reference in the Bloody Barons basement. The 2 soliders talk about getting the gimp, and him being asleep, to which the other replies well I guess we'll have to wake him up now won't we. 🤣🤣🤣
And Geralt says: "Zed's dead" in some side quest I think
I laughed out loud (really loudly) when I heard the guards discussing that, and my 11 year old asks me why I am laughing so I start explaining and half way thru I realise the type of ground I am about to cover, the medieval sexual shit I am about to have to justify, and I was shitting myself/ laughing/ cringing and beat a hasty retreat.... 🤣🤦🤣🤦
Or the star wars reference, in Skellige there's a bounty hunter named Djenge Frett. 🤣🤣
@@adammenhennett lol
I believe they’re talking about Uma dude, not a Pulp Fiction reference.
I could be wrong though . . besides, yours is cooler!
That raven skull was the first thing I looked for just to see if it was there....I was pleasantly surprised!
I can't find it...
Im so glad you are picking up this game i have over 300hrs and i still find stuff to do
Really good video, one critique since it happens to me a lot too when I record, during the 3 fingered soldier fact, there is a part where you are about as loud as the game and that made it difficult to hear you.
3 years later and i still havent noticed the 1st hidden detail on this list lol, luckily i have this video saved!
This is my first play thru on it, because of netflix, I have no idea why I didn't play when it came out
I envy you so much
I bought it when it was on sale awhile ago (all dlcs) but just started my first playthrough as well.
Boy are you in for a good time
Because you're a casual or a fake fan. Take your pick.
I got the game 2 days ago and now I am at the skellige mission. All I can say for this game is MASTERPIECE! I hate myself for not playing it early.
Bernard is still alive in the Hearts of Stone DLC though? Unless Hearts of Stone was meant to be set before these events.
yes, he is the one who rode off, not the one who is dead
who else noticed the crystal skull on their first playthrough!
I never noticed it in my 4th playthrough.
I’m currently doing my 7th and I’m hearing about it just now!!
On my first playthrough and I picked up on all these details! 👍🏼 Didn't go to check on the enemy soldiers though after suggesting they take him in but fully expected that detail to be in the game tbh. I did however think there would be more to the frying pan theif quest, perhaps being able to track the other one down
1. skull crystal.
2. the bovine demon.
3. the happily ever after bromance 3some(+ doggo).
4. the pan and the spy.
5. ???
6:46
ESO: If that's not attention to detail, I don't know what is.
Red Dead Redemption 2: *Laughs in Horse Scrotum.*
How many years difference between the game 🤣
Watched the show then finally got the Witcher 3 and I’m so glad I played it it’s probably one of the best games I’ve ever played , and bless up to you eso this video was super helpful
You can actually pick the raven skull up right after you’re ambushed by ghouls at the camp fire 😁
I’ve beat this game twice and played it at least five times from the beginning and didn’t know about any of these! This is incredible thank you as this is my favorite game
The creativity and attention to detail of CD Projekt Red just makes me love them more
CD Projekt Red & Remedy are the gods of detail in games
I'm playing this for the first time because of your videos and I am loving it! Really looking forward to more of these! ☺️
7:43 thats the Case with ALOT of Quest and choices
They bury the body too if you return later to that shack with Thalers monocle, just like Geralt asked. Also I'm suprised you didn't mention the whole Claer and Volker story that get's subtly told throughout most of the side quests in entire White Orchard. That blew my mind when I played for the first time!
I am playing the game for the first time. After watching Netflix!
Any update? I just finish the base game for the first time. Now im on DLC.. i love the game ^^
I remember there being a notice board posting saying that any man who cuts off a finger to avoid enlisting would get both hands cut off. Guess they wised up to that trick.
Yeah sooo the crystal skull wasn't there for me, right after the cutscene I was curious if the skull was gonna be there but I couldn't find it
8:41, are you trying to play with my conscience now and save the brothers? XD
Ive been wanting you to do this series foreverrrrr
if you really want something hidden and that you might missed, check out the lower left corner of the map, by the side of the road there's a unmarked nilfgaardian camp with a chest in the middle, i only found this recently when i am replaying witcher 3
I have the switch version loving the game I was killing the cows but I'm new and had no idea I can sell something worth that much and meditate and repeat wow awesomely game also done those side quest you show in the video I'm going to do all side quest this game is very huge
This is THE best RPG that I have played (I've played lots since 1986) Thanks for a great channel
I'm amazed how long this game is. I dont even know how many hours. , I'm on the last part of the main story but haven't got but 10% explored.
I played 125h so far and still have some quest to do so yea, its really amazing
Make sure to get the 2 dlc of witcher. Its really worth it to play those dlcs.
I've done the pan quest. And I actually ran into Thaler recently during the mission for dryska. Thaler is posing as a cobbler.
Lmfao I'm playing for the first time rn and I feel this
Im so fucking happy that you are doing video about Witcher 3! Keep up the good work
I know this isn't in White Orchard, but speaking of careful attention to detail, I was impressed when a character in one DLC asked Geralt about a mark he has on his face only during the storyline of the other DLC.
I missed the crystal skull
Me too, so unsatisfied now lmao
I missed and checked it again, it wasn't there
This was the first game I purchased when I bought my PS4 (Upgraded to a PS4 Pro since then) back in December 2015 and is still my favorite game on the system to this day.
Ngl, that chort is just as weak as a cow for a lvl 100 Geralt...
its quite ez for lvl9 geralt too.
AgentFire yeah just dodge, quen and strike
Knew only the last one, but didn't make the connection. Impressed.
Right! That’s it I am going to start playing again.
I love how the designers payed homage to their favorite movies in the game. Like in Crows perch main hall basement, they do the whole "bring out the gimp" scene. Or the costume's that Whoreson's henchmen wear.
YEEEEEEEESSS!!! I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH! THANK YOU ESO
In Russian, chort = devil / demon
- can also be a curse word, like “s**t”
YAAAAAAY I started this when I started watching ur page
The witcher is the most impressive rpg in existence. Im on my 4th play through and first time on dlc
(Some swear that was the ONLY reason the Switch was invented!)
Truth be told, I’ve been playing PC games since literally their inception, when there were NO color monitors or sounds or even GUI/mice (Graphic User Interface, back in DOS days you had to type everything, even starting games). Anyways, back then b4 they all started just including a shitty pdf file so you could print it out on ur own, games used to include awesome, sometimes enormous game manuals, & my favorite place to read them was on the porcelain throne, lol.
I bought complete edition on ps4 over a year ago played it for a few hrs then put it down but now I'm hooked too
I just founded this game not too long ago ! Pure gold
kaaimea mckee wait, you were the one to found the game?
Thank you for your donations!

When I first played the witcher I accidentally killed geralt in the dream/flashback by forward rolling down some stairs, that's attention to detail
I jump from the balcony in witcher 3 accidentally thinking its like witcher 2 then i realized its open world.
@@blessanabey8386 I fell from the balcony trying to jump to a really thin ledge on the mountain.
I've just started playing this game for the first time ever, and it's amazing. Just crafted the Serpentine Silver Sword but am so broke can't afford to craft the iron one. I'll get the Moon sword now tho.
Wait how is it Thaler if you encounter him later on in the game?
You mean the monocle? I'm sure it's from Thaler, our favourite cobbler. He came thru white orchard before Geralt.
Because Thaler is not the dead body in the cabin. That’s not what ESO was implying.
If you remember (If you’ve done this quest that is) the old woman says she lent her frying pan to the first man and he was later joined by a second man but only one man left the cabin in the morning. Ergo, the one who left was Thaler, presumably after losing his monocle in some kind of a struggle.
this game was trule ahead of its time. Im doing a playthrough for the first time since 2018. ITS SO SO SO GOOD! Still better than most games out now
Man, I though this would be really obvious, but I only knew the Cow-Beast, thanks for this!
I am so glad your doing this series it's so hard to find good witcher 3 videos
Is this game worth buying??
s1mplyJake YES I have 400 hours on steam
Fuck yes. Best game ever hands down
Been playing since 2015
Yeah lol, why is that even a question
Most definitely. Promise you won't regret it. And now most places PS Store etc. have Xmas specials. Think I saw it for 70% off. Get Game of the Year edition, includes all the DLC which is a MUST with this game.
Bro what product do you use on your hair?
Pissed I missed the crystal skull on my ng+ got it the first time round though.
Lmfao I'm the same way. Got it the first run and missed it in NG+. It might not be too late though if you're still early in your NG+ run
@@Joe-vz1ck naaa by the time I noticed I was already in velen haha
Thank you from 2024. 1st time playing this game.
I missed the crystal skull twice :3
Amateur, i missed it on all my 4 playthroughs :D
I had no idea about the cow glitch when I first played about a year ago. I was just having fun killing the cows. Surprised the heck out of me when the chort showed up. I did end up killing it first try as well. Took a while and a ton of signs and dodging. It was a very fun surprise and really tested my newb skills. Lol
I just want to ask: What the hell is up with the inventory capacity?
Agree 100% the inventory glitch that causes such a painful time delay when you place items in any chest causes you to simply carry literal tons of equipment with you wich removes the ability to Sprint unless a top of Roach. This glitch while it might cause you to sell everything as you acquire it ruined the gameplay for me.
Probably a mod called Over 9000, increasing the capacity. Note that he also has more than usual money also for a level 1 player (almost 10 million) 2:25
Going to go back to the hut for the monocle. Love the Thaler reference. I missed that one.
Commenting on every video until he plays most of the side quests in the witcher 3.
Video 8
I did a side quest in episode 7 thoo ?
Would LOVE to see that..... oh wait nevermind
I miss talking to Roach....
