I seem to remember reading an old issue of Modern Drummer and Dave said basically that Eddie didn't feel that his style fit with the bands. I don't think Eddie liked his what some might say overuse of cymbals and so forth. I personally think he was their best drummer and thought he brought some great energy to the band, especially compared to Jack Irons and Matt Cameron, who I think did a MUCH better job with Soundgarden. Anyway, hope that helps.
You are saying that there are two studio versions of Evenflow, one with Dave A. and one with Dave K.? Do you have a link to the Dave A. version? I can´t seem to find it.
Indeed, the Dave A. version is much stronger, but from what I figure, the mix is playing a major role. A bit less dynamic, "louder" and a major tweak on the bass sound. Krusens version mixed that way...would be awesome I think. K. still composed those nice fills and pleasant transitions. Whatever :) IMO
dave wanted to do videos and interviews and singles and all that shit to SELL pearl jam as much as possible. so they kicked him out and stopped making videos, doing interviews, and making singles and ALL THEY DID was tour and put out records. they made music ALL FOR THEMSELVES and we get to get a lil piece.
God, that is one tight band. They could have given anyone a run for their money in those days. Eddie Vedder is awesome.
meee...lo vidi in diretta 'sto concerto....che emozione...

It's also the version on Rearviewmirror.
I miss the days of Dave Krusen. His brilliant flow let "ten" appear so effordless!
You'll fund that was Dave Abbruzzese, Krusen only played on the record and then checked himself into rehab
@realbazini You can find that version on RVM, the hits collection.
i agree
@STT757 Is a show in Milan

All right, cool. I´ll check that out. Interesting though...
What show is this?.. Of Course Dave Abbruzzese rocks!...

I like Jack Irons.

Matt Cameron fits PJ now. There is no more soundgarden.
DAVE A WAS BEST ON THIS SONG. Sorry... but true.
