In this video I’m giving my teen daughters bedroom a much needed makeover. As well as getting some deep cleaning done that desperately needed to be done.
I’m so excited to get this bedroom makeover done. We’ve lived here for 11 years and the bedroom is basically the same as it was when my daughter was 2 years old. She’s now 13 so it’s needs a freshen up and switched to a more age appropriate teen girls room.
The painter was here a few weeks ago and removed the wallpaper and gave the room a fresh coat of paint. It looks so fantastic ❤️

Hi Jodi! A round mirror with black trim would look great with the vanity! Also, you can use the spare black knobs to replace the ones in the closet! Love your videos ❤️
Funny I tried the black knobs on the closet but the screws that came with them were to short. I’ll have to look for different screws 🥰
You might be able to use the screws from the knobs that are already on the closet. I agree with the round mirror.

My 13 year old loves having a corkboard over her desk area to pin drawings and pictures and playbills and the like on. Whatever you choose I am sure it will look great! If you decide to go with a mirror...maybe do a square black framed one and surround it with the black framed pictures almost like a gallery wall.

Hi, loved the video as usual. I would suggest u put the black rug infront of the mirror rather than by the vanity... Different flooring colors in small pathway makes it look even smaller. I suppose it would look better infront of the mirror where there is more empty floor area

You could spray paint one of the old knobs from the dresser for the third one in the middle on top, and move the one you have in the top middle spot to the bottom right.

The dresser is white not cream. I know sometimes the lighting is a little wonky on video especially with sun coming in.

The room looks awesome. For the draw with 3 knobs, switch the bottom knob with the middle new one. Then spray the tan knob black ⚫️ and place it in the middle of the 3 knob draw. No one ever really uses the middle know anyways or will be the wiser👍😂.

I love all the black and white pics. You could paint all the frames black and do a collage on one wall. maybe you could find a big square mirror with a cork board frame. She can pin Momentos to it.

and some coasters!! for hot drinks...
you see that ring on the brown dresser...try a teabag over it or rub walnut over it...will have take the sight of the mug ring out

No need for coasters as my girls are allowed food or drink in their rooms (except a bottle of water at bed time 😊)

I burst out laughing when the screen fell! One time I was putting in a window air conditioner, and yup- dropped it! From the second floor!!! Thank goodness no one was under it!

Also, yes a mirror would be great above the vanity, and it would bounce light around the room. I love the spray painted antique fixtures on the vanity and the new black knobs on the chest of drawers. You could maybe use some of the extra black knobs when your other order comes, on the closet doors, too. This room is so classy and adorable. What a great Mom you are for doing ❤ so much to make your children feel special and comfortable as they grow. It was great to see hubby with you, and see his silly smile when he first looked directly, into the camera. 😆

A mirror and gallery wall can work on that wall or just mirror and two smaller frames on the side, also the corner the bed is in between the windows can be a good spot for something as well or a shelf for books

I'm "cheap" (as my husband says, lol) so I would've spray painted one of the wooden knobs black and put it in the center of the top drawer, insteadof buyinga new pack. Since it's the only middle one, the different shape would've looked on purpose. Lol.
The color she chose looks so good! We ordered a mattress in a box several years ago, it's a nectar and we LOVE it! I have a lot of pain in my legs, my neck and shoulders, and with my sciatica. My husband also has a lot of pain with his back and it relives it for both of us every night. Couldn't get a better mattress. Our carpet is also in the same shape I go through once a year and get all the stains up. I use dawn, peroxide, and alcohol with my husbands shop vac. I have a carpet cleaner but the key to getting the stains out is extraction. I spray the stains with dawn and peroxide and then work with a microfiber cloth. What's left after that I spray with alcohol and tap it in with a spoon, blot, then extract.

Love love love.the new room.. paint color is fabulous..afew things to do..get a furniture pen and touch up the vanity scratches..hang a mirror 🪞 over the vanity..get a dark paint to match vanity and paint the top of the dresser to match vanity..that would look awesome..get white picture frames for the walls to tie in with the white wood trim....other than that the room is fantastic
On Amazon there are framed mirrors with lights so she can do her makeup and it’s like old Hollywood.

Jodi, just wanted to say my daughter and her husband got Lifeproof carpet at Home Depot..a lot of times they have free installation.

I have owned my house for 26 years. And, every single year a robin has built a nest on one of the porch pillars! Pretty sure it isn't the same Robin, lol, but I love it! A small makeup brush used for eye shadow or concealer will get into those tiny crevices. I also pour a small plastic cup of water to rinse all the yucky stuff out(on the outside ledge wth the lip...never on the inside). Always works well for me.

Room looks GREAT! THE KNOBS ON THE DRESSER...WE HAD 1 LIKE THAT, PUT A TOTALLY different on on top drawer center. Looked designer! Maybe a matching silver 1 such as on the vanity would be Viviana's style?
That vanity is exactly like one Dad's Mom had. I always loved the way that 1 looked. If I was to use a vanity that type is perfect!
The knobs on it look brand new now. Yes, a circular black framed mirror would look nice there. Glass tray is "movie star" style!
I think putting all the pictures on that wall next to the closet in a "patchwork 9-patch" would look fantastic.

Oh those baby birds! I wish the mamas didn’t decide to put the nest so high up. One on the other side had a sparrow fall out and little guy didn’t make it 🤦♀️ but I understand why they do it.

Yes. They mean to keep them safe from cats & foxes & even hungry bears.
Just spray that area you couldnt get to and let the spray sit for awhile then get a steam cleaner and bingo let the steam flow on it for awhile and it comes up nice and clean
