It is not about fear and fright, but awareness and the courage to fight that can help you beat the scourge of breast cancer. The CSI live session this Sunday brings you face to face with Dr Lopamudra Das Roy, an eminent cancer scientist-research professor, who will speak on Breast Cancer: Treatment Challenges and Beyond Chemotherapy.
Dr Lopamudra is the founder & president of Breast Cancer Hub and had her post-doctoral fellowship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, USA in Cancer Immunology & MBA from Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management, Chicago. She has 20+ years of experience in research, teaching, and mentoring undergraduate & Ph.D. candidates in the field of Genetics, Breast & Pancreatic Cancer. Lopa served at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), USA, as a Research Professor, awarded with grants as Principal Investigator (PI) from the Department of Defense (DOD) cancer research program & National Cancer Institute, investigating targeted therapies and signaling pathways in cancer, worked as Research Director at OncoTAb, Inc, & Adjunct Associate Professor at UNCC. Her research work is attributed with high impact factor publications, inventions, citations, press releases with global recognition from the American Association of Cancer Research, and press for breakthrough work on discovering the signaling pathway between breast cancer metastasis and arthritis.
Dr. Das Roy is the recipient of many awards, notable being “100 Global Women in Leadership”, “One of the five inspiring women around the world leading the fight against Breast Cancer”, “received USA President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service”, “Global Role of Cancer Awareness Awards”, “Exemplary Social Worker & Humanitarian Awards”.
