I would have got that thing started a long time ago bro, been working with high end cars like that in Newport Beach for years, one of a super car problem is a dead battery, there not driven enough so the battery don't last , those cars take a lot of cranking power to start, so now you know for next time buddy, you won't look like you don't know what your doing .

The dreaded gear malfunction supercar problems. Had that gear malfunction with my Audi R8 2 months ago. Under warranty Audi replaced the gear control unit, Hydrolic pump and the unit that controls the clutch and the flux capacitor with 1.21 gigawatts. Took them like 5 weeks to get the parts and install it.
in the case of next time this happen you can try to hold both shiftpaddles for 10-30 seconds it will recalibrate the clutch and gearbox. but you maybe test that to?

When you threw that jumper clip from the positive down first, if it had hit the metal chassis you would be getting sparks and possibly even more problems with the car.
