Got the Outin for pods whilst out and about at work. Top tip - run some water through the system and then shut it off before putting the pod in. Heat, flush, then dump water back in reservoir before running again. Eliminates issues I had with the pod not piercing.
I've been watching your work for several years, Jon, but this particular video really struck me as a quality production. Well done! Why? Good line up of products, good looking and sounding recording, good demonstration clips, I am impressed. Thank you.
These gift ideas are fantastic! The portable espresso maker is a game changer for coffee lovers on the go. I'm definitely considering that wallet too; it seems super versatile! Thanks for the detailed breakdown!
Jon, first let me say how much I enjoy and look forward to your videos. Second, thanks for helping my find Christmas gifts for both my brother and my son. They both enjoy a good bottle of wine, so they are each getting one of the fancy wood handled cork screws. Merry Christmas!
Gotta be honest, while I do like the look of the Le Creuset wine opener, it can be a bit tricky to keep centred. With mine, it kept cutting into the side of the cork as I twisted it and breaking the cork apart. One way I found to get around this is to first use the small knife meant for cutting the foil to make a small incision on the top of the cork in the centre, pushing the top of the corkscrew through that and then twisting. This seemed to keep it on centred.
Trying to get my bro into the hobby. lol. Got an engraved Arkfeld Ultra, Spyderco Delica 4 and made a maxpedition kit for him. Did same for his son who just turned 18. Time to bring more obsessions to this lol. Thanks for the vid! Love my sling I got from your last vid. - Pete
Hey Jonathan I just ordered my pure vis. Do you think the 1L is too large to carry around? Do you think I could attach it to a nitecore slb05 with ice buckles?
espresso might be ok for glamping but pricey... for travel and good coffee packet like starbucks or even d'oro espresso is great...everything else looks tempting to give or receive!!
Hello Jon! I purchased the Otin for my husband for Christmas. I am not a coffee drinker. What type of pods does the Otin take? I looked at the Naspresso website but they have different shaped pods and I don't want to purchase the wrong size. Thank you!
My husband spends a lot of time in the hospital and the coffee there is terrible. I ordered the coffee maker for him for Christmas. Thanks for the review!
My beef with those flashlights is instead of defaulting to the previous mode when you turn it on, it goes to the opposite level. You want high, you turn it on high. Then turn it off. Then you want high the next time, but it’s now on low
This one always comes on high - if you don't want to light up those around you block it with your hand as you switch to low - sounds basic but when it comes to operation that's what this is all about.
Hello. Since you wear glasses have you found or ever come across another multi-tool or knife that had a screwdriver for glasses other than the victorinox corkscrew driver or leatherman wave ?? Great video by the way. As always....
Hey Jon, thanks for the awesome video, as usual. I really enjoy your content. Just wanted to let you know that the links you provided for the items aren't working.
Hi Jon. Thanks as always for enjoyable review. Just ordered the MOFT phone stand, absolute winner far as my needs concerned. Reviews look really good too. Don’t know how many times I sit on weekends at the local cafe, and whilst having breaky, search for somewhere I can balance my phone to read newspaper etc, this will work perfect for me. And also talking to family overseas when using WhatsApp, which doesn’t really work on iPad, makes life super easy. No more balancing my phone against the wall for calls 😂.
That's great to hear - part of what we do here at the channel is to showcase items that might fit into people's lives - I am sure it will work well for you - I am going to be using mine in the future too.
I've not had clogging - resistance is low in my use (with the filter in the right way up!) - I have a previous video showing how much space the filter takes up which is not much - I'm sure LARQ would agree it's not light or cheap - but the design and quality and technology justifies the price and weight in my view.
I've had mine for 1 year exactly. Can confirm the edges are fraying somewhat BUT the bends are going very strong like day 1... Which is my main issue with the several other similar products I tried before this. For its size and quality I'll continue to keep buying once this is good and gone.
Jon, using the flashlight as an example, priced at $49, or £49 I wonder what your thoughts are on price gouging for us Brits? Case in point, Stanley the camping brand, have price differences when it comes to their products, going by their own website, rather than suppliers. One particular item, to illustrate the point, the all in one fry pan set, is $40 or £46. Then there is Apple, whose products are made in China, the Iphone 16 Pro 128gb is $999, or in the UK, it is £999, when the US$ equivalent would be £797, using todays exchange rate. Why should we keep on paying over the odds?
Don't forget purchase tax (or VAT in the UK) - the US retail price is always quoted without tax as it varies from State to State - in the UK we always include it - which adds 20% - which it has to be said is way more than than even the highest in the US! as far as I know that is.
@@JonGadget yes, in the US sales tax is massively complicated, with one exception. Have a fulfilment in Delaware, and there is no sales tax. It is not the only state with no sales tax, So I would strongly suggest the price differential still exists.
I drink filtered water, and I have a built in app which tells me when to drink more, which incorporates the following biometric......thirsts, logic, memory and a functional brain.
Pro tip: DON‘T use the kettle in hotel rooms. It seems to happen more often than one might like that people wash their underwear in these after experiencing little accidents. 😉
What did you have in mind? - it has a full screen visual announcement - a verbal announcement - a chapter reference - and a description reference - what would you say was missing?

Wow, thank you! Really appreciated. Makes all the effort feel worthwhile 😊
I love the term "vegan leather", which is an other word for plastic🤣.
And they charge a premium for it. I guess vegans will believe anything.
Well no it normally should be plant based.
Which is made from dead dinosaurs...😂
definitely not leather 😊
I love the term “leather”, which is another word for skin

Its does take some practice but once you have it nailed you can open bottle after bottle very quickly

nice but niche you might say
Hey Jon! Would you recommend the 680ml or the 1l Larq bottle
Great recommendation and thank you for sharing!

Hi Ann, you want the original nespresso pods, you can also get them in most supermarkets as well. 😃
Thank you!
My husband spends a lot of time in the hospital and the coffee there is terrible. I ordered the coffee maker for him for Christmas. Thanks for the review!
Great video Jon. If you had a choice would you choose the bell Roy. Or the wingback Winston.
The best mancave on TH-cam... great video as always
Big thanks 👍

What sling bag do you have?
Whats up Mr Gadget! Cheers from Toronto Canada ✌🏿 Nice hat also
Hey, thanks!

Thanks for the feedback - all the links? I've checked a few and they are OK
They all working now.
I have that corkscrew - its the best ive ever owned
great to hear
Lmao, great clip used in the brolly segment.
The corkscrew looks nice, but I think folks generally rate Pulltap over Creuset.
I've now had both in hand; the Creuset and the Pulltap Classic. The Creuset is much nicer in hand, in a different class of quality. Jon knows best.
Thank you!
Thanks Mr Gadget
Can't find the link to the water bottle. Otherwise great video.

Larq: filter clogs up, sucks sucking with a feeling it's a small straw. Also the filter takes up too much space, it's heavy and expensive.

That umbrella needs a weather app 🤦♂️
Those microphones are impressive.
really good 👍
Support your local retail stores
No
Like the nitecore. But it’s pretty expensive
How much for the water bottle?
check out the link as prices varies with different sizes and Black Friday deals
You can get the Xoami waterbottle with touch temperature gauge no charging needed for £14.99
thanks for sharing
20:53 is that a fish? 😂
Thanks man. You just cost me like ... 50 bucks. All because of your "great gifts". I just HAD to buy them. 👿
😬😊
Half of this product, are unavailable on amazon
I miss the intro with a techno riff.😂
3:58 Is that the Island of Spinalonga in crete?
Wow! Yes, well spotted!
@ I recognized it because I went last September
> corkscrew, "Not there yet"
Clearly that just means you need to drink more wine.
Very good point!
10,000 bends my arse. The vegan leather will be falling apart in no time!

Where is your hat from?
It's a Kangol 507 (slimmer profile than classic 504!)
@ thanks Jon, much appreciated
Something wrong with the world if you need a bottle that tells you to drink ...my god
That mic is kinda remarkable - shame it's not just using standard bluetooth or something
Funny. Still waiting for what’s special about that umbrella.
The weight!
It is a great umbrella, but the handle is not comfortable in the hand.

Agree with the others .. well put together videos ... Sorry for the negative comments..not on you dude its the products, first world problems
Belroy are complete junk. Bought one before. Poor dye integration. Lost most of its colour after a couple of months
Hi Jon vip ?
si taglia sotto il Cercine non sopra....
yes, but that makes it much more difficult to remove - what's the idea there??

Shilling for Amazon.
Mmmm Chinese junk from a mega-corporation that treats it's employees horribly? Sounds like Christmas spirit!
A bit of a generalisation I would say...unless of course you have audited all the factories used in the making of all the gear featured.
Uses a $170 larq bottle to reduce waste....also uses nespresso pods 🤡😂

In my day "vegan leather" was just called vinyl. They were poverty spec cheap goods. Now it's all the (woke) rage. 🤯
I know what you mean

It’s in the description, he said it at the start of the sponsored segment, and a little message on the screen. It couldn’t be more obvious.
nespresso: junk
Fantastic, and thanks for the kind words.
