Isn't it a coincidence that she just happened to be the best person for such a prestigious role?

Yes the queen the epitome of racism. A person born into power and never did anything nor did she even do anything with her life. Nothing

Wow. You need a serious education.
The Queen saw the errors of her ancestors. The Queen chose to de-colonise. By 1956 she had given each country back its own power.
BUT unlike other empires who decolonised and left their colonies in the lurch with no structure, which unfortunately made a lot of counties unstable with corrupt leaders.
Not the Queen she didn't do this. She didn't abandon the colonies, she actually cared. She formed the Commonwealth which is a voluntary for countries to join.
This was her using her wealth and knowledge to help to develop the country, things such as their health and education systems. She set the rule that in order to join and benefit from the Commonwealth, the country MUST have very stringent human rights laws so that citizens have a good standard of living.
Those countries who opted to stay in the Commonwealth have done well, those who didn't have corrupt dictators as leaders and their economy has suffered.
God save the Queen for doing her best to make up for her ancestor's wrong doing. .
