It’s amazing to see so many women commanding and being the face of this huge event. Thank you HM The Queen for making such a difference in the uk and the world
I noticed that the whole team was women! There were times during the various processions and ceremonies that women seemed to be more present. I think the Queen would have been very pleased with this, and with Anne in uniform as well. There was a strong presence of women in the Coronation, too. Good changes all.
I have literally no love for the Police, much less the Metropolitan Police. However, it really hit me in the 'feels' when a Met Constable, policing the assembled crowds in full dress uniform, witnessed the Coffin of Our Late Majesty passing behind, took his eyes off the crowd for a split second, to bow his head in reverence and respect.....WELL DONE, CONSTABLE! ❤❤❤
I had the pleasure and honour of policing the funeral at Windsor for mutual aid and was massively impressed by the organisation and professionalism seen for my few days there. I took a disposable black and white camera to capture some moments and was also fortunate enough to bow my head to the queen as she passed by to her final resting place. It was an honour. And to echo the sentiments in the video, the public were incredible and showed Britain and the members of the public from around the world in the best possible light. Well done to all involved in organising an unprecedented time in our lives and for it to have gone so smoothly and positively.
From the time of conception in planning such an event and the complexities involved is enormous and not something anyone in 'normal' life can conceive, then when the time comes all those plans come into fruition and carried out so spectacularly is an absolute credit to our police and all services involved and our country as a whole. Sadly our present monarch will not have the benefit of such a long reign but, planning for Kings Charles funeral will have been in existence for many years and will, eventually when the time comes, be excellently dealt with in the same manner. Truly outstanding duty by all and no words are enough to say thank you.
Brilliant film showing how the U.K. can be the best well done to all of those evolved in the planning and execution of London Bridge. Thank you for sharing
Im trying to watch this, I just can't yet. My heart is still broken. Grief is an individuaI experience. I have no words to truly express my personal feelings of loss without sounding selfish. I've saved this upload in my files. One day I will watch it. Just not ready yet. Oh, my heart! My Queen...my sweet Lillibet 💔 Sudbury, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
I'm American and have great respect for the UKs police. They are different for sure, don't use violence. I watched all 10 days of her funeral. She is sorely missed.
My compliments to the British Police. I have followed it here from The Netherlands. And was amazed by how everything went according (how we called here in The Netherlands) true British style.
Thank you, the army & all those involved for giving your country & the rest of the world a chance to say goodbye with dignity to the much beloved & respected late Queen. The effort is much appreciated.
The Metropolitan Police is one of the oldest police forces in the world and had such an important role but no one noticed while the funeral and mourning took place. They did their job quietly and efficiently. No doubt they were in mourning too but they did their job. Great video.
Well done again voicing what everyone else has expressed what an amazing job you did thank you , you all worked tirelessly, the queen being brought home the motorcyclists please all bowing their heads was so moving 😢
Wow. As a former resident of London and thus having benefited from the protection of the Met, I am proud to watch this. I am impressed by the backgound work but even more so by the pride that all officers interviewed show. I truly hope people start to appreciate the hard work of police forces everywhere!
Excellent presentations. Need more of these of what you do Once again brought a tear to my eyes seeing the Queen pass by. So sad and a massive loss to our country . God Bless her and may she continue to rest in peace.
As an American, I watched in awe at how well you handled such a massive event. It was a very bittersweet time and you all did such an amazing job. Thank you for sharing this story with us.
As was said, just showing the police force at its finest! What an incredible operation 👏 Always 'planned', but never actually been put into practice! Hats off to you all ❤
Very nice PR and very respectful to our late Queen. However, when will some of this “gold” and “silver” earnestness see officers patrolling my road Grove Park NW9? Drug dealing, hookers, burglaries and the elderly being knocked down. Do not refer me to The Borough of Brent. They say it’s the Mets domain. Well then step up.
I filed past on the first day of the lying in state and thought the police did a great job. Your partners also did a great job as well who made sure there were sufficient toilets and the like. I help run a local event in my town and I know how much effort it takes for that. So I can well imagine the 10000% effort you had on your hands. Good luck for the coronation.
Oh My God! What a beautiful documentary. I am an emergency manager here in the US and this popped up on my feed and I am soooo glad I took the time to watch. What a beautiful and informative show. I am a huge Anglophile and love the UK and the Monarchy. You all did such a wonderful job not only helping Her Majesty, but also her family and keeping all your citizens safe. I was moved to tears watching. Great work. I know you have challenges ahead with the Kings Coronation, but I have NO DOUBT that it will go off without a hitch from a security standpoint. Keeping you all in my thoughts and thank you for sharing this with us. With much love from Connecticut. 🥰
Watching this, makes me so proud to be British. Our police forces up and down the country, our very own thin blue line showing the world how it's done. You'll for ever have my respect for the sometimes thankless job you do, day in day out, trying to keep us all safe. Thank you.
I was one of the volunteer marshalls for the laying-in-state queue and there was such a wonderful sense of team work between all the different organisations involved. I wanted to give a special thanks to the officers that were posted around the exit of Westminster Hall on Saturday and Sunday. It was a very strange mood. On one side of the road were crowds of people cheering all the VIP's, in stark contrast to the public exiting the Hall, who were often very upset, exhausted and reflective. Meanwhile they also had to facilitate the arrival and departure of dozens of groups from heads of state to grieving family members. And to top it off there was also a bunch of TV and print media situated in the same space too. Very hard to judge the management of that area (the distance of only one side of Parliament Square). Something like no other. Thank tou for all the hard work.
One is often aware of how much is done behind the scenes, but I had no idea how much. It was humbling to see, but the acknowledgement of the top officers to all that worked to ensure the day went off so well is similar to King Charles turning up to acknowledge the police.. Well done everyone.
Absolutely top notch by the Met - those boys and girls did us all proud. Special thanks to Commander Findlay - you can really see in her eyes the passion for the job and for her officers.
As a current police officer in the United States I want to say excellent job to all the British police involved in this. I watched the procession live, and it was incredibly touching and moving to witness.
I was in hospital, in bed when I heard she died but was just discharged home and watched her funeral. You all did such a tremendous job. A true example of great teamwork and showing of excellence. ❤ from America
Amazing job by all. Love and prayers from America. I watched from the US and was so impressed by all the hard work and planning that went into London Bridge operation, although so sad, the dedication to duty was something that is admirable.❤🙏❤
The whole operation was a mammoth task, but all of you delivered the best final service to Her Late Majesty. I can't thank you enough for keeping everyone safe and most of all securing the smooth travel of the body of our Late Sovereign all the way from Scotland, through London to Windsor.
Was the motorcycle outriders bowing of heads planned or spontaneous? Either way it was such a powerful gesture that really summed up the mood of the nation at the time. Especially those in uniformed service, in that they did their duty and only when that duty was finished were they really able to mark their respect.
I also was to say a hugh well done to everyone behind the scenes in ACR, directing and commanding on the ground, dealing with any 00 Activations, and relaying across airwave to the thousands of officers providing protection, Intel, spotters ect. Without you guys, Gold and Silver, call handlers, Comms teams, it wouldn't have worked as efficiently. You did an outstanding job, in what was a mammoth task. Well done guys ❤
Well done to the MET POLICE/SCOTTISH POLICE PLUS ALL OTHER POLICE from around the Country. For doing a Phenomenal service from the very first Moment of London Bridge ♥️💙
The met have had some very bad press in recent times, and rightly so, due to the evil few being found amongst them, and no doubt more to come. The vast majority of them are hard working, honest, dedicated to keeping everybody safe, and very good at their job. Everybody from senior management to those lining the route did a perfect job at the funeral.
For all the criticism aimed at the Met (some of it valid), I hope people watch this and realise that whilst there are pockets of problems; these are just some of the fantastic and dedicated officers that protect us every single day. The police deserve our respect and support every day.
Can we take a moment to apprecate that the police who handled this event were mourning the loss of their queen as well. Yet, they still delivered their best. They also handled the worst day in policing history and they did it well. All, while mourning their Queen :)
The MET has had some bad press. But it's great to share a moment of our nations history, the fanatic job which was job by all members of all police officers from around the UK & overseas
Warriors, our support is undoubtedly with you and will remain with you. Soil, soil, nature, environment, animals, be alert of tampering and violation. Holy activity Holy result It is not our discipline to support such activities which are not supported by God. Warriors, prohibit such activities on the land as far as possible and congratulations, you are supporting God.
Operation London Bridge is Down was conducted superbly and the production qualities of this film are similarly excellent: if only the Met could get the day-to-day basics within a smidgen of the same level. Let us hope Commander Millichap is now sorting out her command, which until recently employed both P.C. Wayne Couzens, rapist and murderer, as well as P.C. David Carrick, multiple rapist. And may the new Commissioner please be successful in rooting out the worst of the officers who are corrupt, the racists, misogynists, homophobes, or simply incompetent...
As an American, the Met looks like it did a wonderful job pulling this off. I didnt notice any unrest. Sadly, because of the political divide in the US, when a former President passes away, the radicals come out of the woodwork with the media as the facilitator. Its embarrassing.

There will be a big scale for the kings sworn in as king. Sadly I still miss the Queen. I don’t feel so close to Charles. William & Catherine and the children I’m very fond of. Sadly Catherine wasn’t there at the Queens side. She was very close to the Queen. Excellent the police force d😢though. Just wished people would not attack officers.

It's nice to see women holding top ranks in British Police! Bravo! Great work!
Fantastic film, showcases the very best of policing
We are fortunate to have these people protecting us.
Their service was a beautiful honor to GB’s greatest Monarch
I have literally no love for the Police, much less the Metropolitan Police. been in trouble with them a lot have you ? always innocent i presume ?
Shows the best of the British policing. Well done to everyone involved!
I bet it certainly does.
Some username on you
?
All women. So PC.
At least they took a break from terrorising people with dissenting opinions.
I had the pleasure and honour of policing the funeral at Windsor for mutual aid and was massively impressed by the organisation and professionalism seen for my few days there. Great to see the Women were the Commanders

Fantastic, thanks to all UK police for your respectful service
You must get a different service from the rest of us
Brilliant film showing how the U.K. can be the best well done to all of those evolved in the planning and execution of London Bridge. Thank you for sharing
She would be so proud of them all.
I saw the funeral on TV from japan and I saw many police officers wiped their tears during the procession. Well done.

I was about to write a VERY similar comment but you said it well so I concur.
They don’t use violence!!!!!!!
@@Mark-hl4yqThe police don’t carry a gun as in the rest of the world.
You done the queen and country proud.
My compliments to the British Police. I have followed it here from The Netherlands. And was amazed by how everything went according (how we called here in The Netherlands) true British style.
I was breathless for 60 seconds in the moment it was announced she passed😭
A superb job done by London’s finest 👍🇬🇧🏴👍
This was a magnificent piece of policing. Certainly did the whole country proud
Absolutely magnificent…and whenever they bowed their heads, it touched my heart.
We are so proud how so respectfully, compassionately and professionally you were that day. Thank you.
There are only three words that describe our entire Police Force across the Country -
DONE TO PERFECTION
Oh please
You clearly have not been paying attention to the news recently
I wish I could say the same, unfortunately that’s not how it is
The ignorance and/or delusion is astounding
Thank you, the army & all those involved for giving your country & the rest of the world a chance to say goodbye with dignity to the much beloved & respected late Queen. The effort is much appreciated.
Brilliant job. Much respect.❤😢 Such a sad, poignant video. ❤❤❤

The oldest*
The Malta Police force predates the Met Police as does the Thames River Police..

I’ve been watching videos of Her Majesty for a while now, and I realised something. She was much like my grandmother, who died in late December 2022
As an American, I watched in awe at how well you handled such a massive event. It was a very bittersweet time and you all did such an amazing job. Thank you for sharing this story with us.
Nice comment but, for us peasants, it’s a VERY DIFFERENT STORY. Eco idiots are allowed to impede us just trying to get to work!
You should live here…..there not that awesome
As was said, just showing the police force at its finest!

I was on the Mall for the funeral. I’ve never felt so safe nor seen so many coppers. It was perfectly orchestrated.
The British police are one of the coolest and most chilled force..they got no pressure..they are very swift❤❤
Great video!

What are these comments man 😂😂😂
You could have left the part about cheering in the control room when the operation was transferred out of Met region to Thames Police out of the video. Seems not very appropriate as we're talking about the Queen and not some operation for a sports event
each senior royal has operational plans for each occasion the ones most commonly set in stone all the funeral plans all the planners need to do is put in dates times and the personnel.
The military well immediately assign units for the occasion the local training camps around London will cancel all bookings for training other than those taking part in each part of the arrangements they will come together pen practise and rehearse until nothing goes wrong and if it does there is a response and fix.
When the balloon goes up the person responsible for planning well I open up the appropriate file and then go down the list activating each stage in turn the biggest problem that I had with the queen was basically the personnel responsible or taking orders haven't gotten out obey them the junior rank and file being woked up with ideas which are not part of their station.
p.s. Met comm's team, you're not going to give me a love, are you...
