*It's time to return home, its time to return to Rome 2, its time to return to Sparta!! I hope you enjoy the adventure - Be sure to let me know of any suggestions/tactics in the comments :)*
This campaign was written in the stars!!! Can't say I'm a og I remember watching the Wrath of Sparta campaign and if thats anything to go by this is going to be a great lets play! This channel is the my first taste at rtw2 and I loved it 1000hrs later still playing it can't thankyou enough.
So good to see this! I'm currently playing a Hannibal At The Gates campaign myself (as Carthage of course), I still have loads of fun with Rome II most days. Remember to watch the food levels my friend. I'd swap that grain pit out for a farm, you need all you can get in the early game :)
man! I used to watch your campaign when I was in middle school. It's insane how time flies. It's like talking playing something in the 90s and u start again in 2002.
I think the reason you're seeing +2 recruit rank rather than +3 (or +5) is because the spartan buff only applies to specifically spartan units, though I may be incorrect in that :)
Man it's crazy to think that this was the channel that introduced me to total war. All I have is gratitude for the years of joy you've given me. Especially through the rough parts. Now after this video I shall play Rome 2 myself and conquer all of Greece in the name of Leonidas!
I remwmber when rome 2 came out and I was so excited and than every turn took like 4 minits to pass on the lowest setting xD After a while it got better though!
Been waiting for this exact playthrough since you've been back! (Asked if you'd do this on your twitch livestream with Lion Heart last year). Love the content, one of the best total war youtubers!!!
The plus 3 for Spartan units only apply to units stated as "Spartan" hoplites, pikemen and so on. The plus 2 applies to any unit not classed as Spartan, so your helots and such.
2:20 I noticed you ran the Grand Campaign rather than the Wrath of Sparta Campaign. I do like the Grand Campaign more but the map is a bit different and factions too for the Wrath of Sparta.
I always research into a champion first so I can start getting passive xp as soon as possible. Then a dignitary to increase my tax revenue. I also send my leader out and make sure he doesn’t die so I can swing the influence in my way and get those good good buffs. Also send a single ship to circle the map so I can initiate trade and on aggression with as many factions as possible to bring the big bucks in
I ALWAYS bum rush Athens as Sparta on turn 1, stack up on mercenaries and take Athens, The rest of the campaign is a cakewalk If you do that, letting Athens grow means you can't trade and they'll almost certainly attack you at the worst possible time.
Got to be honest, I prefer the pacing of this game. Their newer games are starting to feel too arcady, almost mobile gamey. I much prefer the older games.

Yes. They need to be called "spartan", not just a part of the roster. Perioikoi don't count, slaves don't count.
@@canadian__ninja Yeah ep2 confirmed that, thanks for clarifying
YESSSSSSSSSSS IT'S BACK!!!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH, KEEP IT UP!!!!
Oh yes. A return to glory!
90% talking, 10% gameplay.
100% bollocks
@@Warrior_of_Sparta PixelatedApollo would absolutely destroy you lmfao
I really enjoyed the original campaign, looking forward to the "remastered" version!

This good also as far as it goes.
Dont forget about about the formation attack button, handy to turn it off when your trying to surround/mob units
ah nice ofc
I use a mod that completly removes it, I enjoy the game a lot more without that skill
Spartans! RISE!
Hello im greek and wanted to say dat king of sparta back in that day was called Leonidas

Only applies to recruits, not pre existing units*

Hello. Nice to see people still come here once in a while. Always enjoyed this channel.👍👍
WAHOOOOO YEAH
Looks like this one is moving right along all things considered.
The Spartans had 2 kings at any one time.
Be good and you will be fine
Best advice ever lol
@@Warrior_of_Sparta the selucid Empire is an greek one and not intirely persian.
@@Warrior_of_Sparta I love to do Sparta campain speedruns.
SPARTANNNNNNS…Prepare for Glory!!!
The Seleucid Empire was Greek Hellenistic. I couldn't keep watching after that.
Sry what’s ur specs? Processor and graphics card
Hey man can you have 300 per unit or is it 160 or 250 i have setting on ultra army size I dont what it does
Love this
thanks man
Over a year old but just started to watch 😊
WS, goes on these breaks, all the time. May be another year or so before he comes back, if he does this time.
Great LP, Warrior of Sparta...But why do you not play a campaign as Sparta (with "the Wrath of Sparta"- 432 BC)? 😁😂
I have, playlist is on my channel :)
Using any Mods for this Campaign? or is it pure Vanilla?
Man…. It’s been so many years

How do I get to play Sparta on the Grand Campaign?
how can ı play without the sparta dlc
I mean the campaign
That's true for Githio and trade
Shame it wasnt added, oh well Athens shall fall lol

I always prefer the historic games. I get that it does not draw in the views like Warhammer though. Thanks for this I enjoyed the heck out of it.
Good to see this campaign! Will there be any Attila campaigns coming in future?
yeah maybe for sure
not a fan of DEI mod are you?
