You brought up plenty of good points and hypothetical situations actually.
      > Circumstantial chances of catching covid e.g being in the vicinity of someone who visited a KTV
      > Bringing secrets with you to the grave to save a marriage or telling the truth

Ignorance is NOT bliss when it comes to any kind of lying in a relationship. The point of a relationship is built on trust. If you can’t uphold it then you don’t deserve your partner. You would be completely disrespecting the person in the name of “love” which is selfish and cowardice.

"not in my experience" 💀 also please don't kid yourself - going to ion food court to have an innocent (and legal) meal is very different from going to an illegal lupsup ktv where everyone knows sleazy things happen. don't make false equivalences. this is not just a matter of catching covid. if your wife caught covid because she was getting handsy with a man that wasn't you, idk if you're going to be like "oh it's not as bad as going to ion" lol, especially if the same man was getting handsy with many, many other women.

Actually putting Pat in on the other table, creates that kind of mutual bond and wisdom. Plus both are already more open and acceptable to the kind of topics that most channels don't talk about, creates a better intellectual debates environment.

I think it is very important to be as transparent as possible to your partner. It is very important for building lifelong trust. If you have to ponder whether your partner is hiding something from you... that is not right. Admit and be responsible for your mistakes if you made one, don't hide them. In the first place, don't do something that would compromise the relationship, such as outright cheating.

  • @williamy2058
    @williamy2058 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

11:00 - IMHO, in the first place, we shouldn't cheat so there wouldn't be any justification to hide/ not hide the situation right, no?

John do be starting at pat all the time. Proud husband john~
I've mention in the official news listing, but the govt' should have just revealed those that were involved in the cluster(those that went). We shouldn't need to save their face because for what purpose? A few irresponsible owners and horny men doomed an entire nations year-long efforts to overcome this pandemic.Everybody cooperated and did their part to make our country covid-19 "free" and it's all destroyed by these people in a matter of one night.
Anyway that lapsap KTV, it seems that the owners also allowed singing from leaked videos. Super irresponsible.

Appreciate this perspective but there's another podcast who interviewed ppl directly affected by such (cheating) actions. It goes to say that it's not just a matter of "why would I tell my partner when I know it's going to damage the rs". Deed is done, damage is done. You're just piling on the emotional hurt if you still intend to hide it.

About affair and shit, it’s not about “want to know”. If it’s just flirting, holding hands, fine. The more serious one need to tell bah, because there’s a chance you could get STI. Selfish to think that others care about their relationship with you, more than their health. 🤨

Personally I don't want to be lied to, including white lie. I also don't like surprises even if its a good one. I also do my best not to lie. As for surprising my partner, i just don't hint or don't tell first. I also feel guilts very strongly so I couldn't lie even to my own brother. 😂😂😂 I'm just selfish to the point that I don't want to burden myself with negative emotion that will eat me day by day.

I agree totally, just because it's ktv, so they close all ktv... but when there's a case elsewhere why didn't they close it down permanently.
    E.g food court or cruises
So contradicting in the guidelines and implementing rules.

why r u guys thinking from the cheater’s pov?? HAHA isnt the cheater a liar and thats not a good thing. So NO LIES OF COURSE and it’s just right that the cheater own up and not make the one who was cheated be like a dumb bitch who was cheated on without knowing. Like that’s just plain rudeeeee. Liddat for the good of the cheater u just make out w 5 diff girls and still treat ur wife like a fool without her knowing SO TAT she won’t get hurt ? No right. Lmao what’s the purpose of the relationship THEN?

They are so fking daft not to see the irony KEKw.

      Hanging out in big grps
      -kena shn/quarrantine
      -create covid clusters
      -affect family
      -contribute to community spread
Gg to lapsup ktv and engaging in lapsup stuff
      -kena shn/quarrantine
-larger covid spread (one hostess up to 10 customers a day and they alternate in diff ktvs)
      -contribute to community spread
      -break relationships and families
-cause hawker stalls to close down (toapayoh case)
      -cause another cluster--jurong fishing port
      Jurong fishing port
      -closing of fishing port
-cause even more hawker stalls to close down
-cause food waste (hawkers hv to throw their ingredients/fish for hygiene purposes)
-cause prices of fish to go up
      -affect hawkers financially
Yea hanging out in large grp and not adhering to social distancing measures is bad. But can it even be compared to those ktvs??

This discussion was a great discussion where differing thoughts and opinions are allowed for discourse without putting down the other person and their opinions
