Arguably, companies can also use that data to NOT match people so that they earn more from advertising, subscription fees etc. But I guess they maintain a balance of matching people and not matching them so that there's anecdotal evidence of people getting into relationships from dating apps

In Singapore’s context, pick up lines don’t generally work. it also depends on which race of ladies you are going for. Indian and Malay ladies are more approachable and friendly thus easier to break the ice. SG Chinese ladies, meh not so much. That is unless you are tall and Good looking. Better still if you are standing beside your car. 😁 Too much financial agendas and scrutiny.. It’s easier in Australia, the White ladies there understand that a date doesn’t meant that she’s engaged to me for the rest of her life. 😅
