I bought a red Wind AWD with the Tech package last weekend and I'm really enjoying it. Its my new commuter car so i look forward to the daily drive now. Kia has really stepped up their game.
What are your thoughts on the vehicle a year later? I’ve been eyeing this vehicle for awhile now, and would love to hear your pros and cons from a user standpoint
@Epyeon A major pro today is that the depreciation makes it a used car bargain. It's a con for those of us that bought new, but you can get a lightly used model for a great price.
I rented a 23 and a 24 model for several weeks each for ridesharing. I was so impressed that I went ahead and bought a lowish mile 22 Wind for just $25. Can’t notice any significant differences. Just seeing if there are any tricks I hadn’t learned yet. The pen holder is a new one!
@zenbear4149 How are you able to keep the doors locked when you're inside the car and charging? It seems the m feature that prevents you from locking your key inside also keeps you from locking the doors for safety.
I just got the Kia EV6 and I love it. It's my first electric vehicle, but, I got the very basic model so a lot of the features you mentioned I don't even have. 🥺. Kind of wish you had mentioned it would be only available for a specific trim. But other than that, very great video

7:10 Pro Tip: you can hide the trunk cover within the trunk. You can see brackets left and right below the bottom, so you have no problem to take the cover with you when transporting big stuff
not necessarily true; you can get the optional tech package on the wind which contains a lot of the same features as the gt line minus the hud, pop out handles, and highway assist 2...it's a $1500 option that is worth it especially if the gt line costs an extra $8k

In the UK I have the GV60 which uses the same Hyundai/Kia/Genesis E-GMP platform. In the same way the auto lights use a light sensor pretty sure the light/dark mode does. Certainly on my GV60 the infotainment/Driver cluster auto light to dark mode switch changes over the months as sunset time changes. It may actually use sunset time as obtained over cellular data.
We love our EV6, we have the wind and share several of these features as well so very informative. I didn’t realize as an owner of an EV you get bullied by haters. 😂 Guess we can’t all a cool car. 😂

What specs? The ones that don't really matter in the real world? The Kia is more intuitive and easier to drive, more comfortable with a much better ride quality (while maintaining great handling), is nearly as quick, has a far better warranty, has many tech features that you cannot get on a Model Y (ventilated seats, 360° camera, opening sunroof with shade, carplay/android, HUD, V2L, 800v, etc), and it is far better looking than the awkward jelly-bean MY. Don't get me wrong, the MY has its advantages and is a fine car as well, but by no objective assessment can you claim the EV6 is "way worse". It is at least as good as the MY and there is a legitimate argument that it is better.
@@amperformance7998 I'd agree. I've ordered an EV6 and it's got everything a driver needs. More physical buttons is not to be underestimated. The only thing I prefer with the model Y is the light open interior, but if that was a priority for me I would have bought an Ionic 5 over the model Y.
EV's are not ready until 2032 at least. In fact they really won't be ready until 2042 truth be known. Currently they are just a pure expensive gimmick.

This is a great feature. It's useful when you want to make a quick temperature change but want it to stay on the sound/media controls.

I find myself spending time looking for more free public level 2 chargers because I'd rather be out in my EV6 than to home.
hold the unlock button down on the fob long enough and it will put the widows down.
Do you know if there’s an app you can use instead of the fob?
@MrJamesMoore not for the windows, kia access has a lot of features. Most you have to pay for
quick press and then press and hold the lock button to close the windows again.
Got to test drive it today and was blown away on how fast and beautiful this car is, hurt when I couldn't take it home🤣😭

Great review but please let people know that the best features are only on the GT line and this is 10k more than the Wind.
if you get the tech package on the wind it has most of the features found on the gt line and it's only $1500 extra.

This car was designed on backwards day. The windshield arm is backwards as is the placement of the door openers.

Those aren't pen holder, they are cable or wire guide since there is no wireless android auto or carplay.
