      jeff - But how can you be REALLY sure your life does not suck ?
      just kidding.
      I had a paper that had all the people of the world condensed to 100.
      What percent by age, religion, ethnicity, race, money, etc.
      Bottom line was that if you were READING on your COMPUTER ...
      you were WAY AHEAD of the vast majority.

      So very true. If you have electric power, you are ahead of the bottom 50%. The same 50% if you can read. If you have a computer you are ahead of 75%. If you have a modern computer, you are ahead of 80%. If you are sitting in a nice clean room, with heat and air, you are in the top 10%.

    Actually, I believe that parts are difficult to get and if they can find it it would cost them a fortune to buy. So it's more about self reliance than anything else. Also I honestly think they are are undertaking those repairs in the most practical way...bear in mind, that is not America, where you can buy cheap parts on every corner. They're very brave and hardworking, patience and have a good understanding of metalwork

    • @Shmayzer
      @Shmayzer ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Нихрена они не разбираются, делают как попало. После такого ремонта в металле адские напряжения, как минимум нужно пару циклов термообработки для того что бы эта деталь не лопнула после 1-2 тыс.км. Даже в таких условиях можно было сделать нормально. Но капитализм в этих странах заставляет сразу работать вместо того что бы учиться. От нехватки знаний вся проблема.

    • @schsch2390
      @schsch2390 ปีที่แล้ว

      Parts such as this are not 'cheap' and in US the legal liability for such a repair, even done to closer to first world standards would be so high that no repair shop would contemplate it. Now an individual on his own vehicle, maybe but even there the liability should someone else be injured would be high.

    • @w.w77
      @w.w77 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are kidding right? This is garbage repair. If they caused an accident and severely injured someone here in Australia, and inspectors find that it was the repair that caused it them they would either pay a big fine or face jail time. If they can't afford the part, then take the truck off the road until they can that repair is not safe at all, especially when you are talking about a part that has to handle heavy loads and heavy impacts on rough roads.

    One redeeming thing about this for me is that, in the 3 houses I have owned, I have never had a garage, just a carport, and never had concrete to work on where crawlers or other things with wheels would work, just gravel or dirt. I've laid down 3/4 inch plywood over ground so I could use my engine crane. Plus, it seemed, that every big project I had to accomplish was in the dead of winter where it was in the 20's and 30's with the ground like a block of ice to lay on. So, watching these fellows working with dirt for a floor is catharsis.

    Если нет культуры производства, то починить ничего не получиться. Эти ребята в тапочках кидают всё в грязь, долбят кувалдой по точной поверхности( оси балансира).Токарь уровень Бог. Его индикаторная стойка Шикарна. В лучших традициях производственной дикости, лупит кувалдой по патрону. А свёрла? Они бесподобны. А сварка на токарном станке? Бедный станок, хотя, я уверен, что он был взят со свалки, но всё же. При такой дикой нищете надо беречь и восстанавливать столь мега дорогой станок, а обезьяны его кувалдой и сваркой. Ну, и без абразива от шлифовальной машины этому пожилому станочку никак.

    Interesting they have a jig for the axle assembly to facilitate driving the axle out, suggesting this repair is not infrequent. (~5:37 in video) Judging from the rust on the fracture site of the axle, it cracked a long time back.

    Aferın bu torna ustasına. Kırık orta bağlantı milini çok güzel kaynattı. İşin zoru tamirciye kaldı. O kadar ağır parçayı şaşiye monte edecekler. Kolay gelsin ustalar.

    People here that say "This is an amazing job, this is a great job" do not know what the hell they are talking about. This is not an amazing job! This repair does not last. I do not even think this will last even for 5 miles. This is not a piece that you can repair. This has to be replaced. This might kill someone when it fails again. What do you exactly trying to show in these videos? That you can weld two scrap pieces together and make one scrap piece? You achieved your goal.

      Did you get the time it took to repair that. All in under 2 days. I guess back where you live it would be at least 1-2 weeks. And cost a fortune for the trucker in down time plus the cost of the repair. No old son, you stick to what you think you know and let them get on with making a living.

      Yes you are right but same time not.
      It does not matter if it breaks again and if so they will fix it until next morning again and again.
      Those ppl dont have money and ressources to replace the worn thing with original shit.

      Yes, I noticed the same thing. How hard could it be to start with a center drill... Regardless, while I recognize that they work with what they've got, the reason for the failure, and the reliability and safety of the whole repair is in question - but we are talking Pakistan (a nuclear power)...

    Can you imagine having a repair performed here in the states and they proceeded to do work in this manner?
    Everything is taken apart and placed on a dirt floor? Yikes.
