the hey day of Phish! i love this grainy vid of Phish. The long hair of Trey, the zero man outfit of fish, the uncanny clothes of Mike and the white T of Page. This was the boys feeling it! I have seen them about 40x's and this was a show I truly remember because of the raw energy and I think u can tell from this Horse/ Silent!
Horse/Silent is near the top of my: List of songs that I never got to witness/haven't seen yet. And is probably my favorite Phish slow song, that barely, just barely eeks out Dirt and Bug which are a dead even tie for 2nd place slow songs. Both of which I have seen.
OH I see, it must be this part: A little scoop of plaster mix some coffee grounds and mud and then she stirred it with the ladle that her Grandmother had bought her threw in a pot of melted wax a forefoot and a hoof apple core, worms galore and a can of some corrosive coconuts and chloroform some wicker and some cork Toxic waste, some purple paste she hoped was not explosive You must be right--this definitely sounds like a complex organic synthesis for a clandestine lab!!
Literally the entire chorus and how fast of a song it is. Phish has always had drugs involved, one of the few things about them I absolutely don’t stand for. I am very glad Trey has been sober since 2007. He was a douche in the late ‘90s and was then making some of the worst music he ever did. Nowadays, his playing doesn’t really impress me much, nor does the rest of the band, but I’ll take a mediocre sober band over an amazing stoned band. My guess is Mike and Page were the only two sober members in Glens Falls in 1994.
@@davidonguitar The song is mostly nonsensical like a lot of their early stuff, but the chorus just sounds like teen angst, stuck in a classroom with "chalk dust," while he just wants to "live while I'm young." If you take that to mean drugs, that's all on you buddy. And "how fast of a song it is"? WTF? That is seriously the stupidest thing I've ever heard, there's no way to even respond to a statement that has no logic whatsoever.
listened to this on my drive to work this morning. And then 8 more times through out the day, so good

When Page sings "Trust you to lead the Way" I always think Taoism.

God trey looks so happy this whole show. He must have gotten the dose exactly right
epicallyawesomesupergreaterthangreatestness
I wish I could figure out wtf Mike’s doing at 5:41
So some of you didn't make it to 5:39 then? And 6:00 is some of the finest rhythm guitar you'll ever hear.
As much as I love that little riff, it’s definitely a lead line over G A C D chords.
lol. what part of the Reba lyrics describe the recipe for that??
OH I see, it must be this part:
A little scoop of plaster mix
some coffee grounds and mud
and then she stirred it with the ladle
that her Grandmother had bought her
threw in a pot of melted wax
a forefoot and a hoof
apple core, worms galore
and a can of some corrosive
coconuts and chloroform
some wicker and some cork
Toxic waste, some purple paste
she hoped was not explosive
You must be right--this definitely sounds like a complex organic synthesis for a clandestine lab!!
The hair!!! Trey's easy span in shown in the last part. It's why he's Trey.
they definitely needed to cool off after that julius haha
how do you know? i am interested to hear your reasoning behind that statement.
Oops
You're right, they just took lots of drugs and wrote songs about every day life and total nonsense.
@mik
shutt you couldn't be more incorrect. Phish never wrote a drug song EVER. You sound very unintelligent when you write info like that....
Mmm… CDT is definitely a drug song.
@davidplaysbass I’m pretty sure it’s NOT a drug song. What do you think is a drug reference?

@@eray9934 well you just responded with an entire paragraph about a song written by dudes who were pushing 30 at the time so idgaf
