A lot of women are raised to have co-dependent caretaker mindset, but with an unhealthy added dose of having her self-esteem, dignity and boundaries emotionally/psychologically beaten out of her before she's 15, and then men like this just view her as a replacement to his mother + meat sock to use (I think the first clip portrays this perfectly). Frankly, if I had a to-be husband who said these things at the wedding, I'd leave and remove him from my life. Like, do these men even like women, let alone love their fiancee? Makes you wonder how many other red flags he showed during the relationship before the marriage, that the girlfriend just knacked up to "oh he'll change and grow up, because I'll show him the way and fix him." [Obviously men have the same types or similar issues that effect their self-worth and ability to hold healthy boundaries, but for the sake of video relevancy I'm addressing women's side of the coin.]
This goes for both men and women: KNOW YOUR WORTH. Better to be alone than to settle for someone who drags your spirit and esteem downwards.

I don't think the brides can be blamed here at all. The fact that their parents and family or even friends didn't object and prevent these weddings from happening when they heard the vows (although I'm sure there was plenty of other red flags they completely ignored too) speaks to what kind of people are in these women's lives. If their own parents don't love them or respect them, its no wonder they grew up to get with men that likewise don't love or respect them. These poor women don't know what it is to be treated with dignity and have been convinced disrespect and dismissal is normal so accept that for their relationships.
I would agree, I think these people lack positive support structures, and sometimes it's the partner who is cutting off those support structures through gaslighting and manipulation. But I have had friends who have been in that position.... and it's extremely taxing for one's own mental health to constantly have to be there to support that friend who's in an abusive relationship, especially when they keep going headfirst into the cycle over and over again.
I guess what I'm trying to figure out is... at what point is it fully on all parties except for the bride and at what point can you say that the bride still has free will and has to break out of that relationship at their own volition?
@@RayLikeSunshine I understand it can be a lot to try and help someone who continues returning to an abuser and certainly no one can break out of that if they don't have the will to do so, but at the same time its important to remember that as difficult as it is to help someone in that situation, its so much more difficult to be the person in that situation. Victims will on average return to their abusers 7 times. That shows women are desperately trying to escape and often do, but the mental affects and the consequences are strong enough to drag them right back in. So I will amend my statement that the brides are without fault, but certainly their family and friends should have refused to attend to make it clear they do not support these very obviously toxic relationships.
Why are you trying to blame the brides in the first place? They weren’t the ones who chose to humiliate their partners.

I was raised in the Southeastern United States, and the groom's behavior wasn't surprising to me. I'm pretty sure one of my cousins got cake crammed into her face at her wedding; southern men are raised to never develop emotionally beyond 12 and southern women are raised to spend their lives serving southern men.

This is what happens when you live a place where Pro Life rules all, the bride is told she has to marry and be subservient to her baby daddy or she'll go to hell, and the groom doesn't want to be there but he was guilt tripped into the marriage by his mama and pastor. As a Polish person who has been to a couple of weddings - I've only seen this type of groomzilla shit in videos of American weddings, so I guess it's mostly and American thing? Here in Poland we don't even have self written vows, the bride and the groom just repeat after the priest the official vows and that's it.
