I own the A7iv and it's being my work horse for nearly 2 years. Alot from rugby, pride parades, wedding anniversarys and others. I did the get the A7cii because I said this to myself last year that Sony will make a compact A7iv and i got my wish however its mainly for non client work and holidays.
So I got to play with the A7cii for the first time yesterday. Very similar to the a7iv in terms of feature, if anything I actually prefer on screen layout of the a7cii. Small, compact like you said. I think it’s great! However, i wouldn’t buy one. Wasn’t until yesterday I realised it only had a single card slot?! Fine for general stuff but i’d never use it for the weddings. Regardless, cracking little camera
I’ve been using my A7iv as purely a camera for my Leica 35mm Summicron v4 KOB. No regrets. Limitless Leica photos. I use it to digitize my film negatives too. I don’t even own a AF lens for my Sony.
I’m thinking about making the switch to the a7rv only because I’ve had nothing but problems with my a7iv. I did lots of research and seems like it’s only affecting the people who preordered this camera, but now I’m unable to rely on it. I’ve sent it in 2ce now to be fixed and I’m contemplating if I should own two cameras, especially if this breaks on me during a really important shoot.
I always like to have 2 cameras, i don’t carry 2 with me everywhere I go but any important shoots i’m on, i always have a backup. The a7rv is a great camera, pre-ordered is the second it came out and haven’t looked back. However, never had any problems with the a7iv. Hopefully you get it sorted
I own an a7IV as well and I don't regret it 1 bit. I am, however, looking forward to the a7sIV to come out because I've been mostly invested in video work lately and the dual native ISO on the "video" cameras has been on wishlist for a while. Great looking pics and videos, as a wedding editor I loved the shots you put in the video, the colours look fantastic. Keep going 💪❤
Thanks man!! I love the A7Siii, so glad they Sony have announced a firmware update finally for that camera. When it comes to just a video wedding, I always use my A7siii for maybe 90% of the day. But the A7iv is just the nice sweet spot. And thanks mate!!! I'm really pleased with the edits of the weddings this year, the whole year has been a huge learning curve for the technical, the editing and the business so nice to know it's being appreciated by other creators!
It seems like a very niche camera, interesting features but that’s about it. I’d like to try one however i personally don’t have the requirement for it. I’m more excited for the firmware updates 🙌🏻
After comparing A7IV video footage to A7SIII I'd say A7IV looks better. And low light performance is great and here is why, even though IV has second dual ISO at 3200 (SLog3) and A7SIII has second at (12800), 3200 is better IMHO because first of all, if don't have enough exposure at 3200 ISO on f2.8 lens, you need to add light to the scene anyway. 12800 is an overkill IMHO and is usable in low light for either 4 and higher fstops or slow motion. I have tested A7IV during night in urban situations and ISO3200, f2.8 lens (Tamron 28-75mm g2) and it works fantastic. there is some minor noise in dark places that have little to no light but compared to A7SIII it's more usable. If I use A7SIII on 12800 ISO in similar situations I'm overexposing and getting nothing in return; also A7IV has much much sharper looking image and the details are pure perfection. Even the iso noise looks great and can easily be removed with light noise reduction (davinci resolve) or you can add grain and it will perfectly blend with it. + A7IV can shoot amazing photos and costs half of what A7SIII costs - that's why I got two and getting the third for my podcast setup (replacing the a7iii)
Problem you have is, when is the A7V going to drop? Regardless, the A7iv isn't a bad camera and even when the A7v does come out, the A7iv will still be the same camera that is has been for the last 2 or so years
I haven’t personally ever used the A7cii. However apart from the body it’s in, i don’t recall them being any different. Obviously the a7cii is smaller so if you’re wanting a smaller camera, maybe get that
These cameras are in two very different leagues. One is APS-C, the other is full frame. Personally I prefer fullframe so i'd always go for the a7c. However the a6700 gives you 4K/60 and then 4K/120 with a 1.6x (approx) crop. However, the a7c is based on the original a7iii and I didn't like the image reproduction that much on that camera, whereas the a6700 is much newer and I think will have better colours straight out of camera. It's all personal taste. But! If this is your first camera, beware - You can buy any camera you want, but you'll need the nice lenses to get the best image quality. Fullframe lenses are always more money than aps-c lenses
Before i watch this, for some reason, the a7iii and the a7iv really......piss me off and make me irrationally angry. I think i hate that they are so loved when they make so many compromises. But im a poor boy and i cant afford an a1 that makes no compromises lol
@@TheLinesEnd is that what i said? nope. But they do in fact compromise a lot of things being a hybrid camera at that price point. Personally i wish they would split it, instead of being a hybrid for 2k, it should be a much better photo camera for 2k and then a separate much better video camera for 2k. But they wont, they want us to spend the money to get the a9 series or a7S series
i love my A7IV. i mainly do concert photography but hoping to branch out into sports photography/videography soon

There wont be an A7S4, Sony is moving everything to their FX line
Cool little update buddy - what do you think about the new A9 III announced today ......
It seems like a very niche camera, interesting features but that’s about it. I’d like to try one however i personally don’t have the requirement for it. I’m more excited for the firmware updates 🙌🏻
@@DannyBligh yeah I hope Canon and Sony keep doing Firmware updates rather than just releasing new cameras
2:15 Hi Danny, great video! Sorry, what lens/lenses are these lovely a7iv shots taken with? Thanks!
The wedding ones? They’ll be on my 35mm f1.4 gm 🙌🏻

Can you do a video on the A7CII
I can try and get my hands on one 🤷🏻♂️
Im thinking to switch from apsc to fullframe , and now i get the sony a7iv or waiting for the A7V what you think ?

What do you think about getting a7c ii over a7iv?

I have the same question but no one is making videos on this
I'm a Fuji guy, but sony cameras look like a great platform for more professional work
I love the Fujis 🤌🏻 entirely depends what you’re needing out of a camera
fuji better in color and aftermath process. Sony is super good at auto focus, and you got to have experience to deal with the color.
@@jamesyu8183totally agree
I want to upgrade my canon 5dmk3, should i buy a7s3 or a74 in 2024?
A7iv
Which is best camera of photography and videography
Sony A7c vs sony 6700
Plz suggest mi which is best for hybrid shooting

Thank You So much 😊
a6700 kinda wipes the floor throughout. Especially considering the cost of lenses, the a6700 being a much newer and capable camera.

I own both. Love the one you are with.
If you can’t get good photos with the A7III/A7IV then that reflects on you man. Those cameras are loved because they are beasts.

realy? A7iv not use AI auto focus?
