This is partly why it's becoming more difficult to find drivers. Who wants to be molested by the government while they try to do a job that is tough enough. I know I'm tired of it.
They do this close to my terminal......you pass a scale with a huge parking lot and 20 minuets down the road they’re pulling trucks in at a rest area....all in the name of safety my ass....they’ve got all the truck parking spaces plugged up with their “safety inspections” while the truckers who can pass have to park on the side of the highway to go in and take a piss.... such bullshit
Yeah shut roads down and fine us. Wonder how many ended up late to the receiver. When I hear them say "its only about the safety", I think of the cops who just saw three cars merge close in front of me, while he speeds off with no flashers, or lights on.
Hiw about all thw shit cars and pickups that pass me on a daily basis? Damn tail lights held on by ducktape lights thatbdont work if any at all but one of my trailer lights is a safety concern blow me
These inspectors never drove a truck .. there not even licensed mechanics but they can do a mechanical inspections on a truck all do to a course they take an then nit pic you on the road an give you attitude .. yup an they wonder why no ones wants to get into being a driver these days

About safety, nope, just ask them to come to your yard and inspect the truck BEFORE ITS GOES ON THE ROAD, yah no we don’t do that, enough said.
So i guess that inspection on your window you get yearly is a waste of money
Some drivers refusing to pump the pedal and cooperate seems to work they can’t inspect
