Hi David. The missing bit at the start is to turn on full duplex in the receiver menu. I'm getting there with netting Tx to beacon locked Rx. My Tx was below in frequency to my Rx. Getting the voice in the rx pass band once the conversion is made is a game. I think I should tx a narrower bandwidth than I receive. Thanks to GW8TIX for having a first QSO this evening despite me being off frequency. I learnt that my Tx is fine for audio and bandwidth so I have to nail the freq conversion. 73 de M0YDH

Nice one...This and the previous one are very good. They explain the conversion settings well. I think a lot of operators are just using the default QO-100 conversion values in SDR Console and are all just slightly off in frequency hi hi. Compensating in XIT too sometimes. 73 de F5VMJ

Thanks for the video, unfortunately you are not making a QSO with a 1000hz tone. you are making it with SSB (in USB). So what is the best method to fine tune that?

Hi there, yes correct we are using a SSB transmission but it is much easier to position a tone that it is to try and position the SSB transmission. Just think of the tone as
voice but at a single frequency and so is positioned 1000Hz from the band edge if that makes sense ?

Very nice explaining videos that you are sharing, they are very helpful. I suppose you are using Pluto+ as SDR Transceiver so I was wondering about the performance working QO-100?
Can you share another video of recorded QSOs (TX&RX)? inorder to see how this SDR performing.
Hope you reply to me soon, thank you so much.

Hi there - thanks for the feedback ! This video is part of a more complete write up on Instructables, see the link below. Working the Q0-100 satellite is great, very much like working a narrow HF band or any other linear repeater. Yes, I am using a Pluto+ which performs really well - again see the complete article for more detail on the ground station and other aspects to the SDRConsole setup :

      Did you tried firmware upgrade?
Is it fully compatible with the original adalm-pluto SDR?

@@abdennourbouras6243 hello there - I did try the firmware updrade for the Pluto SDR and it does work but does not support the integrated ethernet adapter. Which firmware are you referring to?
