Thanks. So I had to also change the "Network" IPs because of a conflict. Apparently they cannot be on your LAN(s).
I found the USB Ethernet portion confusing. I would recommend splitting it into a separate video, because most people will use their existing LAN.

Setting the manual IP for the ethernet adapter was a crucial step, blessed for this amazing guide

Thanks for the Videos David, I went through this setup a few years back and it was fun and frustrating at the same time, I am using the original Pluto, I am sure by this stage you have done this but you can setup a converter in SDR Console to make it display the actual 10Ghz Frequency and not the LNB one and you can get a over lay to add the bandplan to the screen, showing you where is SSB, Mixed and the different beacons ect,

Thanks Dave great video explaining exactly what I needed to know and not being explained by a ‘network engineer’ almost certainly helps. Just waiting for my Pluto to arrive so will be running through your setup process soon. Cheers and 73, Richard G0NAD. PS: your desktop looks spookily like mine, minus the swimmer lol.

Hi John, ok could you be a bit more specific ? I assume you have setup your ethernet adapter and given your Pluto+ an IP address ? Are you able to ping the Pluto+ and successfully get a reply ?

Good vid, but why do you need a Gigabit ethernet-USB adapter since the Pluto Plus already has an ethernet port?

The Gigabit adpater is not for the Pluto+ it was for the PC end so I could connect USB to Ethernet

Hi everybody. Just today (29.08.2023) I received the Pluto+ and inside of it there is a AdalmSDR software. This is I am guessing the reason my ethernet port is not working. Where can I get the Pluto+ firmware from? Please let me know - I google and I do not find anything :( PS> I followed your instruction which is very simple and it does not work. Another question is - why you use a separated USB-Ethernet dongle? I wonder why you did not connect it straight to the local network?

Hello Pawel, the Pluto+ is installed with a variant of the AdalmSDR software but it should have been modified to support the ethernet port. I found if I upgraded to the official Adalm software you will lose the ethernet support. Here is a link to the software I have used on mine and the ethernet port works as ecpected :

@@dave68cat Thank you so much. There is still the bit I do not fully understand - please try to explain if you do not mind. What is a reason of connecting USB ethernet dongle to your computer? Why you cannot connect it into your for example router or switch if you have any

@@PawelRozenek Hi there, I could have connected directly to my router but I had no spare ports and no additional hub so just decided to use a USB ethernet dongle but you could connect directly to your hub/router
