A few notes I failed to mention in the video:
    1) Yes, I had the incorrect price. I state in the video a couple times the watch is $150, when in reality it is around $180.
    2) There are a plethora of replacement watchbands available sold both by Fitbit and third-party vendors. When messing around with b-roll shots I took off the bands on my Versa 2, and it took me ~20 minutes to try and get them back on. It is a very poorly designed mechanism, so you have been warned!
Aside from these, all opinions expressed in this video are still valid. Thanks! :)

Nice review. One of the best I’ve seen. Thinking about getting the Versa2 and your review has confirmed my choice. Clear and concise. Well done.

That's an interesting decision as I'm thinking the same. Not sure if it's worth purchasing the latest & greatest

So hesitant to buy 3 yo model now but this review helped the decision. I can’t pass the price of $90 . Thanks.

I use sleep tracking nightly. The heart rate seems low, under 50 sometimes. Have to charge every night usually just so I have enough the next day. Always-on display does the job, doesn't drain too badly. The Garmin Instinct seems to have many more functions but for now this will do. I usually have my phone with me anyway, but sometimes I lose the GPS since the phone is in my pocket. Good review.

Really great up to date review! What is lacking from nearly every review however is how the texting and phone calls work on the watch. All reviews on this watch contain the fitness stuff but what about the productivity side?

    • @TopSpecMedia
      @TopSpecMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hmm I did comment a decent amount on the texting/phone calling, was there something you were curious about that I didn’t mention? I’d be totally down to help you out if so! :)

I went ahead and picked one up after watching your review today. Best Buy has a great deal right now! It's a good watch for battery life but I was a bit disappointed when comparing to the galaxy watch 3. I was underwhelmed with the number of free watch faces but found a few that worked well.
Here is what I learned that I couldn't find a live review of. Firstly, you have to ensure you have permission for fitbit app to continually run in the background AND have the app open all the time. Once I did that I was able to respond to texts. Before I did that my note 10+ would notify me that the message failed to send. When receiving a text you have 2 options. You can select the microphone and speak a response into the watch or you can select one of the pre-made ones that are customizable. The voice to text worked perfectly, which I do know you mentioned. What I found disappointing was I was unable to initiate a text to one of my contacts with my watch. I was also unable to initiate a phone call if I wanted to. While driving is when I'd use that so doesn't technically make the experience totally hands free while driving. I can answer a call with my watch, which will wake up my phone to answer on the phone. If my phone is connected by Bluetooth to my car it'll play through my speakers. That's great, but the ability to initiate a phone call or text using the watch would be ideal and is what I'm looking for.
That was the part I couldn't find a review on. Seeing the actual process of receiving & replying using the watch for texts and calls was what I was trying to find.
Your review got me to go by it though! Lol! You really did do a great job. Yours was the best I'd seen... and I've watched a lot!! Unfortunately I'll be returning it and getting one that has the ability to initiate actions with the watch. It almost met the mark though!
Maybe a fitbit versa 3 will be my next try. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the info it’ll definitely help out anyone looking for these features that I didn’t cover in the video. I guess I sort of tailored the review around my own personal usage, since I never really intended on responding to texts and whatnot on my watch. I guess that’s one of those trade offs for having it priced lower than a galaxy watch or Apple Watch. We appreciate the feedback!!

i was really only going to get this for its current features alongside the use of spotify, versa 4 has so many other sensors and such but im not sure if people even look up their skin temperature, etc but there isnt spotify so not sure what to lean towards

Excellent description of the Versa 2 functionality. i guess i will stay with getting a new Versa 2 instead of a Versa3 or Fitbit sense. thanks!

The Versa 2 model does allow you to store songs from a premium subscription or simply mp3 files from your PC and leave the phone at home. The versa 3 and 4 models no longer support this and you can only download songs to the smartwatch if you have a Deezer premium subscription.

Bought a used Versa 2 for $25, shipping included. Seems the resale value of fitbits is super low, which is nice. Should be a big upgrade from my failing Charge HR.

Wondering if you tried to compare steps number counted by Versa 2 with other device? I've been using it for couple days and it counts my steps while sleeping (I'm sure I'm not sleepwalking :D ), sitting, driving a car. I understand that as it doesn't have built in GPS, my steps won't be counted perfectly, but other smartbands (also without GPS) do much better job with step counting and I'm just curious if my Versa 2 is just broken / not configured well, or their step-counting algorithm is poor

I have been using fitbit for almost 4 years, and I do find that their steps aren't always the most accurate. But for example a night's sleep is generally about 60 steps for me (I'm a very restless sleeper)

Thanks a lot. My sumsung galaxy watch 4 classic isn t accurate in sleep tracking and I want a good sleep tracker. I heared that fitbit watches are the best to achieve this. We have in tunisia only three models of fitbit: versa, varsa 2 and charge 3. which one of them would you advise me to buy for sleep trucking only. I will use my sumsung all daylong and the fitbit only for sleep but I have read that versa 2 becomes useless after a few months of owning it has many issues concerning sync and it gives up sleep tracking after a short period. Please advise me.

Every TH-cam reviewer always talks about the track of sleep I have never had it work once on this watch and many people haven't either, Are they getting paid to say it works??
