    You should make some more basic algebra tutorials like this! I would've loved math so much more if you were teaching me.

    I have been a fan of yours for years.
    You show the standard methods for whatever topic you address.
    Thank you for your versatility and adherence to rigor.
    p.s. Your videos on series convergence/divergence are the best treatment of that topic. “Best Friend” is so useful.

    Finally, a video of the basics instead of the advanced stuff that boggles my mind

    Teach us some Vector Calculus and/or Matrix Algebra.

    I love it when you carefully show all the steps for the beginner students. 👍 So many teachers skip things and confuse the newbies!
    Along those lines, perhaps you could draw a quick diagram of a 2D graph and say something like, "The 'x intercept' is where the line 'intercepts', or crosses, the x-axis, so y is zero at that point." (And vice versa, of course.) So many students have difficulty remembering that the *x* intercept is when *y* equals zero, and vice versa, so I think a quick drawing can help those who are more visual learners.
    Thanks again for the great content on all your channels!

    You can use x/a+y/b=1, it would be faster.

      Students need to learn slope intercept form.

    • @SankalpaSatyal
      @SankalpaSatyal ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dianeweiss4562 This is the double intercept form, a,b are x,y intercepts respectively. Slope intercept form is y=mx+b .

    • @dianeweiss4562
      @dianeweiss4562 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SankalpaSatyal I was merely pointing out that local, standard curriculum teach slope intercept form. Students are required to recognize standard form and slope intercept form. They are also required to know how to create these forms given either two points or one point and a slope. The slope can either be specified or described as the line being parallel or perpendicular to the equation for a second line.

    Why didn't they call the x-intercept xintercept (cin-ter-cep) and the y-intercept yintercept (yin-ter-cep) (this is a joke btw)

    5x-2y=8
    x intercept
    y=0
    5x-2(0)=8
    5x=8
    x=1.6 ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜
    y intercept
    x=0
    5(0)-2y=8
    -2y=8
    y=-4 ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜
    Slope
    5x-2y=8
    -2y=-5x+8
    y=2.5x-4
    5/2 is the slope ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜
