    Well 3 weeks after talking about how tough the diffs are, I’ve stripped one. I guess I jinxed it🤷‍♂️

    at 3:49 about the revo diffs... revo was first brushed but when they reaeased the brushless ver then things started breaking so they made the 2.0

    Building my traxxas hoss right now, upgrades are gonna be 1500 dollars though 😬 already have the belted trencher hp, sway bars, multiple metal upgrades, ceramic bearing, gtr shocks, etc. I recommend all these upgrades and you can use the same ones because the hoss and rustler share most of the same parts.

    Should go with mip drive shafts little expensive but worth it, and 6s, I'm running mine on 3s 120c battery on a spectrum 4s system and I'm going through spider gears in the front and rear differentials, I just couldn't understand putting 6s in one, but if it works it works. Ausome video

      Yeah I run the new CV ones! (Unless there’s a 3rd version.) They work great! I’ve had 2 snap in the same spot that the GPM ones would bend, but they generally hold up really well.

    How does the body fit with Hoss bumper/wheelie bar, any rubbing? Did you have to trim the body?

    • @CHEESEBURGERRC
      @CHEESEBURGERRC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My shell is pretty trashed, and the back part is completely gone, so I’m not sure if it would hit the wheelie bar. The Hoss bar comes up slightly higher than the rustler one, but it extends far enough out that it would _probably_ fit with a normal shell.

    does the max 8 motor have 36 mill mounting points? It looks bigger then 36mil and im trying to find a way to mount the castle 1515 motor on 8s in my rustler. Alll the rc discord servers ignored my question so i was wondering if you know, as a older rustler owner?

    • @CHEESEBURGERRC
      @CHEESEBURGERRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not sure what the exact size is, but I do know it fits on the stock motor mounting plate. If I remember correctly, it has 2 different sizes for different mounts. I’ll check the size next time I have it off though!

  • @juliart
    @juliart ปีที่แล้ว

    Had another thought, instead of trying to bend your own lexan to shape, have you considered cutting the Middle of a 2 or 3 liter soda bottle or something similar and use that as a tire form? ( ice tires)

    • @CHEESEBURGERRC
      @CHEESEBURGERRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      You know I had briefly considered that… I actually don’t remember why I didn’t. I think I just couldn’t find a 2 liter bottle, which in hindsight probably would have been easier to get than a sheet of plexiglass. I think I’ll try that next time!

    What exactly are the springs called? Like are they from the erevo 2.0

    • @CHEESEBURGERRC
      @CHEESEBURGERRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they’re from the erevo 2.0. If you just search “e revo yellow rate springs” you should find them!
      They’re the softest ones available for the e-revo, but they are still pretty stiff. If your rustler is stock and doesn’t have a lot of extra weight, they might be a bit much.

    @michaelrowe5896 ปีที่แล้ว

    Noice!! Hopefully my servo lasts. The servos in me erevo 2.0 lasted 2 batteries tho 😆
    Where did you find the blue spring for your GTR shocks? All I can find on the Traxxas site is black only
    Also just cuz I'm curious. Was it hard or a tight fit when you went with the Max8 and ESC?

    • @CHEESEBURGERRC
      @CHEESEBURGERRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I’ve heard the E-Revo servos sometimes come misaligned, and end up “fighting” each other. That’s not fun though!
      I got the blue springs at the hobby shop. They do sell them on the website though - if I remember correctly, you click “support” and then “accessories” and it’ll show you all the options.
      The motor fits fine, but it doesn’t leave quite enough space for the esc to mount on the stock mounting plate. I ended up just hot gluing it down as close as possible. I also had to move the receiver box a little bit to make room.

    • @michaelrowe5896
      @michaelrowe5896 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CHEESEBURGERRC my servos came out of the box crooked AF fighting each other. I forgot to check em 😬
      Usually the first thing I do lol. I found the blue springs. The pink I have in the rear right now is awful (ultra shocks) but jeez idk if they messed up or what. Hardly any clearance in the rear. Kinda looks like yours before the Revo springs lol. I think I may stick with 1/10 scale motor but I'm not sure. You think bigger motor would handle the bigger tires and such better than the smaller motors even if I get a good fan(s)?

    • @CHEESEBURGERRC
      @CHEESEBURGERRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      A bigger motor certainly would handle the big tires better, but you should be alright just gearing down and adding some fans. If you want to go faster, a big motor is the way to go, but if you just want to bash it off road the small one should do fine!

    I run a Zeee 6s 50C with a 2050kv and a Firma 150a here. Up your pinion to a 21t. 13:56 gearing is nowhere near the potential of a 6s system in a 10th scale car.

    • @MatMabee
      @MatMabee ปีที่แล้ว

      On another note, the brushed variants actually have a different gearing in their differentials. The teeth are a tad smaller, but significantly higher speeds can be achieved through them while maintaining the centerline torque you have now.

    • @CHEESEBURGERRC
      @CHEESEBURGERRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll probably give that a go! I’ve been wanting to do some proper high speed upgrades to see what it can do!
