I remember my grandma giving my cousin a milkbone box one Christmas. She just used the box for a stuffed toy. When my cousin unwrapped his present, he took one look at the box and exclaimed, " Milkbone?! I'm not no dog!" Then Dad replies,"You are too. They're good for you!" Lol!
You don't hear about ring around the collar anymore. Was there a cure for that found? Lavoris = 5hour energy. I wouldn't mind if some of these companies released some of there products in retro packaging.
NBC was not doing well in '78 - W.E.B. only lasted 5 episodes. It's the return of the mean old Hallmark man from a previous volume! Lavoris must make every morning a Sunday!
NBC Disney Salute-little did Big Bird know that way down the line,Disney would soon become the Muppets's new boss.. W.E.B-"Network" The Series? 7up-maybe they were going to cut that burger into slices like a pizza Clone Master-another tv movie that was a backdoor pilot for a possible series Raisin Bran-if someone were to have been standing under that piano it would not have been pretty.. Starship invasions-good film..R.I.P Christopher Lee and Robert Vaughn
0:14--One out of many great commercials produced by McDonald's over the years. 2:14, 4:46, 6:58, and 8:31--Kind of surprised to see Big Bird in these Wonderful World of Disney promos. I assume they had to get permission from Children's Television Workshop (now Sesame Workshop)? 3:22--I vividly remember that "N-B-See Us" jingle, but NBC without its iconic peacock just weirds me out. Mercifully, they resurrected it the following year. (I can't help wondering if the return of the peacock helped bring NBC out of its late-1970's doldrums?) What ever happened to 4:12--Weaver Northern Fried Chicken (that would probably be a hit here in Iowa), 4:56--Litton appliances, 5:57--Lavoris mouthwash (one of the few cinnamon-flavored mouthwashes that I'm familiar with), and 12:14--Gaines-Burgers dog food? 5:27--Great catchy 7-Up jingle! 7:27--I'm not familiar with Korvette's (with a K). Upon hearing the name, I was expecting a car commercial (Corvette, with a C). 8:40--An iconic jingle for an iconic cereal!
The clip of Big Bird is *from* this special. I have no idea what sort of relationship NBC and CTW had at the time but there's no special credit for Big Bird. It's a typical variety special of the period with guest actors that spanned several networks including Suzanne Somers, Ron Howard and Ed Asner.
* “W.E.B.” - another example of late-70’s NBC downfall. * That Litton microwave is WAY too big. * “Clone Master” looks cool. What the storylines of the Duplicator from the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip would look like when he’s an adult. * I want to hear Paul Anka sing the Kodak jingle! * why does the first woman in the Kissing Stick commercial look so familiar? * 11:52 MEEEOOOOWWW!
0:10 - There's something creepy about that frozen image of Big Bird with his beak wide open. He looks like he will swallow your soul.

That's a mouthful of a name for a special event!
I don't know why there was an obsession with pine and lemon scented household cleaners in the 70s
0:44--I haven't seen that Pine Forest Ajax, but I think some other brands like Pine-Sol are still around.
Boy, you can't get more 70's than that Maybelline commercial!
Saturday Night Live did a parody of that mercury monarch commercial. Only instead of diamond cutting it was a circumcision!

You don't even hear about wisk anymore. I bet it got discontinued.
3:42--I believe the Wisk brand was discontinued a couple of years ago.
The local "W.E.B." promo V/O was none other than Fred Facey.
Holy Moly! After seeing that particular sci-fi movie *only once* I never knew the name of it. *NOW* I know it was "Starship Invasions"!

Remember when Disney had some semblance of class, folks?
It's been a long while.
As a wise man once said "The Cordoba comes with fine Corinthian leather."
A Big Mac is nothing without the sesame seeds. NOTHING!

Janie Fricke singing the 7Up jingle.
Welp, that news report about the Ford Pinto tank sure is the unwanted follow-up to that Pinto commercial from Vol. 43

What the hell was W. E. B supposed to be an acronym for? No one knows, and that's one reason why the show tanked!

@10:46 Looks like Jenilee Harrison (Three's Company, Dallas) before her glow up
MsFarzee I think you’re right, although the voice doesn’t seem to match.
Did they hire a voiceover? The voice is wrong.
