👍👍Great work Michael, this looks and sounds like a great resonator. I'd consider one myself but the shipping costs to Australia are close to what the kit costs by itself 😒 Two humble suggestions for your next build from a part-time woodworker. Firstly, consider using traditional hide glue for the neck joint. It was used pretty much exclusively in musical instruments up until around the middle of the last century, is plenty strong, and has the advantage of being reversible. If the neck ever needs resetting it can be steamed out, cleaned up and reglued without any risk of damage to the underlying wood. Secondly Linseed oil (pure or boiled) is a polymerising oil and will eventually form a plastic-like layer which can really gum up a guitar fretboard and be a real pain to clean out. Not saying this will happen to this guitar but it will definitely build up over time if you oil it regularly. I've used Fret Doctor for all my guitar fingerboards over the last 25 years, but any good vegetable oil mix would work. (I have no association with Fret Doctor, just a happy customer). That’s a nice kit! It looks and sounds great! I looked at their website. They have some reasonably priced kits, with lots of options! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Michael, the mini humbucker looks great without the pickup ring. Vibeworks state that it's one of their more difficult kits; how difficult was it to build?
Thanks Geoff. It wasn't difficult at all, really, you do have to glue the neck in place and I cut the pickup hole and drill the holes for the volume, tone and blender knob. Pretty easy peasy. M~
Yes, just remove the cone cover, gives you access to the saddle, and you don't have to remove the tail piece. The cover slides out once you remove all the little screws. 😎
Nice kit, but the shipping cost to Scotland kills it for me. I maybe just use your wiring diagram and add a piezo rod and humbucker to my current cheap pawn shop resonator.
I got the blend pots here amzn.to/3Yw5o19
Micheal, well done, nice Resonator, I would like to see you do the adjustments on the action. Keep em coming!
That looks like a fun kit to build. I have seen guitars and basses with pizeo saddle pick ups than can be blended with the other pick ups too.
Thanks, It was :)
I dig the MinWax stain, I use the same shade myself.
I like that color, I used to finish farmhouse tables with it. M~
Looks and sounds great!

Thanks, they are priced very reasonable, I think. M~
How do you adjust the action on one of those? Do you have to take off the cone cover?
Yes, just remove the cone cover, gives you access to the saddle, and you don't have to remove the tail piece. The cover slides out once you remove all the little screws. 😎
