    even though it's a 404-specific video, i think this workflow applies pretty well to any sampler from that era. i have a zoom st224, and the chopping & resampling workflow fits right in with how that thing works. great tutorial!

      Yo! thanks for that insight! I always thought the sampletrak224 sounded rawand seemed ike a cool piece, but never copped one.... maybe i'll start searching again. 💯

    Thank you for going in depth to share these thought processes and tricks! Also if you can make a video to explain how to work on finger drumming that would be great! Right now I record kicks, snares, hats separately because I don’t know how to finger drumming at all

    • @100PercentBOOTLEG
      @100PercentBOOTLEG  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      IMO: Basic finger drumming technique is best learned with separate kick, snare, hats, open hats, etc... You can get a feel for what hand is responsible for each different element. Then when you get the hang of where you like your sounds, you can figure out programming pads that have more than just a one-shot (ie; multiple drums, part of a break, or even a section of a song with multiple elements) I remember kids in middle school banging beats on top a metal trashcan with a fist and a pencil... it's kinda like that

    • @100PercentBOOTLEG

      Every so often I'll record a bunch of samples from vinyl, other tapes, video games, movies, internet, etc.. onto a cassette. Makes for a little mini library of easy access samples, with tapey tones to boot
