Thank you for keeping it about the work flow. So many guys just run their mouths and you get lost in the process. Or the video is edited so they can get you to subscribe to their pages. Good work bro!! Don't change your process of teaching us new guys, we need more teachers like you.
This was one of the better sp 404 mk2 tutorials I've seen, bought one yesterday knowing that the learning curve is steep and this video has helped tremendously

Same for me and I'm finding answers answers that make sense. These patient instructions give me time to absorb and note key techniques for a developing simple workflow.
very helpful im new to the 404 i had a 303 and sold it but i never knew the capabilities of it hope i can grasp this info and enjoy one of the best samplers in the world

I have a question - I entered the project mode and assigned a pad for a new project, went to import files/samples from my SD card, after realising that I have no SD card inserted (forgot it at home) I wanted to exit the project to go back to "original" mode where I can press the pads to trigger samples I installed previously or play with the internal samples which are installed on SP by default on the banks --> Here is the issue - apparently the SP is stuck in the "Project" mode, I pressed exit, I restarted the device many times, still stuck. Can't go back to normal mode. Can you please advice ? Thanks
Interesting. Project mode is something I haven't messed with that much, so I'm unfamiliar with that. Sorry about that. Would you let you go into pattern select? If so, maybe trying that way to get back to the original mode.
I thought the first thing to do was update the firmware. My unit is still in its box because I haven’t been able to find a SD card yet. You appear to be saying that updating the firmware isn’t necessary to start playing the thing. Is that correct?
That’s true. You can still create with it fresh out of the box, but you just won’t have access to the updates if your firmware isn’t updated. Once you’ve updated to the latest firmware, you’ll have access to all the updated functions

Hey, yeah you have to delete them to make space for new patterns. The ones that come preloaded are just there as examples.
