It just occurred to me that the runaway should have a slightly parallel incline gradiant at opposite ends, so when a plane lands it automatically becomes stable on touching down.
st Helena looks just like my village i love it i wanna visit really.
reminds me of childhood i used to be the fastest runner.
Good news for the Saints, they now have the capability to airlift anyone needing critical care,to that I am happy.
Second, the opportunity for self reliance from the Crown and the Gang who don’t work.
Next,the influx of miserable tourists.
Bittersweet for them, the Saints are a wonderful people,I hope it all works out for the better.
Well done St Helena! You took a great step in providing flights between your beautiful island and otber destinations.
Thank you for the video looking forward to booking a flight from the UK when the airport is open. There's a lot of BS in the UK press saying it will never open.
they don't know what they are talking about, fingers cross it will open this year.
❤❤❤❤
when and where will commercial flights start? St Helena's tourism board should start showing ads all over the internet and cable tvs -inviting people to come visit the island.
WHere is that plane coming from?
How is everyone adjusting to the sound of aircraft after the isolation???
There’s one flight a week today
Is this runway up and down hill? It kind of appears to be. Just wondering.
I wanna live there.
Cricket in a remote Island, thanks to British Empire
It's unbelievable....In the middle of Atlantic there is a city which belong with airport, shopping centre, stadium, news centre, park etc.....My love & respect to You...God bless You....
Wow, the reporter murdered J.B's name :)
Say 'Broo-vair'
Shrike200 Haha. Sorry. I'll bear it in mind next time.
There are a few airports in the world with wind shear problems and they are dealt with by pilot abilities. If this was not the case then you could use a bloody robot to fly the aircraft !!
There is T20 cricket in saint Helena.
I think you are forcing an airport there. Tricky winds permanently, very dusty ground ( not good for engines ) no escape on both ends of rnwy and this what we are able to see.
Wealthy people!
Kenneth H Who are?
@@KneeoGeeo The island residents. A lot of invest will come in.
Congratulations with your new airport, now you can fly and buy tax-free, stuff like Channel nr 5, Jura-isle whisky, Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin and fine French delicatesse and Cognac VSOP Napoleon., quiche lorraine and ouysters.
Now for overcrowding and invasion of undesirables to degrade the quality of life on the island.
They had their first undesirable 200 years ago! - nothing new ;-)
Must be a wonderful place to visit - all success to them
