jboww2121 I didn’t intend it to be a correction. In fact I think their terminology is correct. But for those of us who grew up as young male gymnasts in the 80s “American Anthem “ was sort of iconic. We were so desirous for a movie about gymnastics we’d latch onto even bad ones almost religiously. I was more laughing at ourselves than their terminology.

@@nathanemslie9972 You know, the later in the alphabet the skill is, the more value it retains. So a G is worth 0.7 tenths, an I is worth 0.9. So it's 1. Valued more and 2. A significantly harder skill, so idk why they have it (being Belle, the skill, valued at G [0.7]) lower than a Miyachi (an I, 0.9). One is a triple back with a full, another is a double layout double twisting and catch the bar again...

I know how the code works; I'm a gymnast, but I thought you were saying that a Belle should be lower in difficulty, and that you were surprised it was higher in difficulty, so I thought you thought that the Belle was worth more than the Miyachi. You said "....have Miyachi, an I, lower than a Belle, a G", so I thought you were referring to the difficulty value. So you were asking why the Belle is listed as more difficult in the placement order of the skills in the video, when its worth less. I get it now. My apologies.
Because its dangerous as fuck. Radivilov is probably one of five men on the planet that could successfully land on his butt. So they dont want stupid people trying it and dying
Peter Campfield I mean I understand that's it's dangerous and all but we allow the women to attempt the prudanova and honestly I just think it's not fair to Radilov because he worked so hard to even get close to competing that vault and now there just banning it bcuz they are worried someone else will get hurt. Just seems unfair to me
