Number 1 was so well deserved. I have the biggest smile on my face from that one.
Epke’s routine is just so fun to watch! So sad he fell at Rio, but at the same time I’m happy that it opened up the field for Hambuchen to get his long awaited gold. We’ll see Zonderland wow us again in 2022 I think!

And he's a surgeon. At school at the time and he won the european championship in 2019. Epke is epic!!!!!

@@LegoMovieTutorials Take a look at his legs when his three combo flips, it’s not closed and last Cassina is not twisted enough. So his performance is dynamic, but not beautiful in terms of the standard of gymnastics.

I watched the horizontal bar finals in 2012 live and Epke Zonderland, and it was the best I've ever seen period.
Same, what a memory! And live also for the Hambuchen one which was really clean, powerful and emotional for its farewell routine. But Uchimura and Neimov have the best styles by far in my opinion, also Wecker was clean AF 😲
I remember watching Epke's routine live back in 2012 and gasping while he did those 3 releases in a row. I was expecting to see it in the top spot. Wasn't disappointed.

You can tell Zonderland did outstanding by the way his competitors (incl the silver & bronze medalists that year) were so genuinely happy for him after his scores came out.

Epke is the most exciting one for me. But for overall beautiful routines, I don't think you can beat Kohei and Fabian. Fabulous routines, all of them.

Quarantine heaven!! Never saw these performances - all amazing but Zonderland was in another universe.

I've seen Epke Zonderland live during European Championship in Szczecin 2019. He is amazing!
So glad to see Alexsei Niemov on the list he won me over a long time ago watching him win bronze pretty much single handidly for the team that was failing badly round... his parallel bars were jaw dropping!🥇

i don't usually watch men's gymnastics but i happened to be watching in 2012 and caught Epke's routine and its stayed with me all these years. i still can't get over (no pun intended) how he was able to do that. :)

Zou’s part is too short. He is so cute but talented and powerful. Best time of Chinese gymnastics not like the Rio one. And 2008 Olympic is really competitive and so many talented gymnasts from many countries all offered great performance.
Zou received the typical home cooking bonus. He legitimately earned silver.
Gotta give a shout out to Trent Dimas who shocked everyone by medaling in Horizontal Bar in Barcelona in 1992!
