1) If you take MSc then getting CS will depend on your first year hardwork. For some, it's hard, for some it's easy. It's like getting a Jee mains rank of around 30k. 2) I would prefer circuit in Goa/Hyd rather than Pilani core if you are not interested in any branch and are here for good placements.

My current cgpa is 7.5, The station PreludeSys is alloted to the students with a range of cgpa from 7 to 7.9 approximately. I edited since my CG increased after PS :)
Bhaiya I am extremely worried about the cutoffs, I did not foresee this but this time bits counselling will be over before josaa counselling even begins, and the cutoffs have not fallen for second round, everyone was expecting drop in this round. Hey man i know you are preparing for tech field, i really want to know what kind of profile someone from core will have to build in order to get placed at good companies. Also do students from these branches get placed at FAANGM companies?
Yes, people from Mech/Chem/Civil do get placed in FAANGM companies. You will need to do all the courses yourselves. But don't worry, the coding culture and helpful seniors will help you a lot. Here are some important CS courses you need to do - DSA OS DBMS CN System Design OOP and something like Web Dev or App Dev or ML for projects and you are good to go. Do practice on Leetcode, Interviewbit and do coding contests in Codeforces and Codechef.
If deep interest in Coding then choose CS in a college but you are getting ECE in LNMIT and Mech in BITS. For coding culture, Bits will be better but not much companies will allow Mech to sit for IT placements but in LNMIT, companies will allow. So, ask others too and chose wisely.

If you are deeply interested in CS then take it in tier 2 College instead of choosing Chemical in BITS and preparing for IT since it's very difficult to do so.

Actually, I am in third year so Haven't yet researched in detail about PS 2 since it's next year, not now. That's why I haven't made a video on it. But I know most of the thing. Yes, you can go either in 7th sem or 8th sem. PS2 is based on just cgpa and branch. For example, if you are in CS and have cgpa of 8.8 then you can get Amazon as PS2( no interview or test as far as I know) Work there for 6 months and if you do well, they give you PPO. Else, you have to sit for placements in alternate semester and have to crack companies.

Nahi. Example ke liye, first sem me fees 3 lakhs lagi to loan amount bhi utna hi lagega. First sem ke hisab se agar 40% MCN mila to Second sem me 40% of 3 lakhs jo ki 1.2 lakhs hai wo account me aa jayenge.

Totally on your interest, if you are interested in CS then no point taking Core here at BITS. Core people are given very less chance to go for IT here.
I never said, he won't be able to go for IT. I am from Mech myself and preparing for IT in Goa campus. The problems I face are: 1) Lack of Coding environment ( Since you are in Mech so mostly people will speak about core in your groups, but anyways you can join clubs and form your own environment). 2) DS, OS, DBMS courses are hard to take. Electronics students can do these courses but Mech/Chem do not get chance, they have to rely on internet, not an issue though. 3) The IT companies allowing Mech/Chem keep their cutoffs around 7.5 to 8, so you need to be good in core too and score cgpa. 4) Less companies allow Mech/Chem to sir. Again I said less, And not "No". 5) Relativly less guidance as you will find less Mech seniors compared to CS/Electronics going for IT. 6) You have to study both Mech and CS courses. This was my honest opinion. Most of the Mech people join Finance/Consulting/IT field every year so it's fine here.

That's why I said, if you want core job in Reliance, Honeywell, Tesla, Mercedes, Adani, etc. Then choose Pilani over Goa, since many core companies visit Pilani and not Goa. But if you want IT job, then choose any campus, your wish, then Mechanical or Chemical doesn't matter.

I am not aware of MS much since I don't plan to go outside for further studies. Regarding placements, if a company allows then obviously you can sit.

Nothing is difficult if you have interest in any job. Also, they pay good. Many pay above 15 lpa.
