I got this the other day with the battery and charger on sale for $119.99. was a no-brainer it works great for what it's made for. Perfect from getting all the excess water off your car and out of crevices where it likes to hide makes towel drain 10 times faster.
I haven't found any electric blower that is powerful enough for me to fully dry my car in a reasonable timeframe. Even with a brand new ceramic coating it just takes too long. I just use them to quickly blow out seams edges to avoid drips, then towel dry with a detail spray over large panels. This one is great because I can hold a towel in one hand and the blower in the other comfortably while run around the vehicle. For its size and price it is pretty powerful and I can get around my vehicle in 2-3 minutes. It also comes in handy around the house. I use it to sweep my hard floors, I can get under stuff and in corners much easier. I blow everything to one corner and sweep it up. It takes 1/10th the time and does a better job. If you have ryobi 18v batteries and are looking for a blower, skip the larger, more powerful models. They just eat the battery charge faster and don't do a much better job. If you want to blow dry completely I wouldn't consider anything that isn't 40-80v. Though at that point I would look into corded models as they are much cheaper.
@@Th4tGuyLondon ego, green works, dewalt, Milwaukee. They all take too long for what they cost. About half the year I need to use self service washes for running water here in mn and I can’t spend 10 minutes drying the car while people wait, even in my garage it is a bit long. That’s not even taking into account the price. Obviously to each their own, but I haven’t had any trouble with marring using twist loop microfiber towels and this little blower
@Th4tGuyLondon i used to own ego 530cfm. Not the 765, but still gets the job done.but my reason for switching is ryobi is compact. I can bring it in one basket together with all my soap and towel to carwash stations. I also just blow most corners/side mirror and most water off the car(where dripping comes). I still dry it using towel with rinseless as a drying aid.
I have been considering one . Im already into the ryobi line . Is it as strong as a leaf blower? No . Ofcourse not . 220 cfm . Its not marketed as such . Its not really marketed toward detailing either but .... for small size , one handed use it goes great with a towel to blow out cracks and crevices after initial towel drying.
Just got one yesterday, $129 at HD with 4A battery and charger. Was able to do my 4runner with stacked Flex wax on 3/4 charge as I was imapatiant. I like it, a lot. good review
This will be a sweet addition to my existing Ryobi ecosystem! I have a large Ryobi leafblower I had been using for the car but I would like something smaller and less wieldy like this that still gets the job done.
I bought this after seeing several youtubers showcasing it. I absolutely love it. Works great. I ordered the battery converter on amazon for $15 so i could use my dewalt batteries with it.
I got one when it was first released and returned it after its first use. WAY too loud and didnt move enough water unless the car is coated. Was disappointed as the size and idea is great.
I have one. It does a good job. I used to use my backpack leaf blower, and this satisfy’s my needs for a small handheld I can keep in my cargo hatch for whenever I want to wash my car.
I just got one a few days ago and it is pretty good for drying your car but it is super loud and high pitched. My ears suffered at the end. Not sure if I just got a loud one or if they are all that loud.
If I didnt already have the ego stuff for yard use this would be where I would go just because of size and control ability. Hoping I can find one used cheap to dry motorcycles off with
we use drying aids to lesson the chance of maring also if you blow all the time you are leaving mineral deposits on the surface. doing both blow & dry with drying lube for the win.
I'm actually impressed with this. Its a tiny blower with a 140mph power. I used to have EGO 530cfm, and is okay. But this is way better. Compact, powerful and easy to hold. I'm not sure with your application but the car you are seeing right now is definitely ceramic coated. If you are going to use this on an uncoated vehicle, its not gonna glide the water for sure.
It’s pretty powerful compared to the old RYOBI workshop blower. As for blowing water off car, it depends what coating is on the car to begin with. If the car isn’t coated, it will make the blower look like crap, but on ceramic coated car it works really well.
Just picked this up at Home Depot for $75 (w/military discount)!! Can't wait to try it!!
Nice, that's a great deal! You're going to love it!

Looking to pick one up JB, like the fact that it's cordless
I used mine for the first time works good for the size wish it had a small opening for wheel nuts

You haven't used an EGo blower then. They're great if you catch them on sale it's worth the price.

interesting. IDK what EGo you have but mine dries a sedan in less than 30 seconds.@@noahnovotny2100

For sure - this is a good addition.
Thank you for sharing the video and I just have issue with the small water bubble not sure I had to used different type car wash ?

Do you use it for wheels too?
Congrats on the sponsorship Jimbo!
Haha! Thanks

Seem that’s the issue I got bc the car need coat it first in order moving all the small water bubbles
your car needs to be coated for blow dryer

Same here the noise is crazy high pitched. Returned!
That's why there's music while the blower is on lol
All of these blowers are loud enough to damage your hearing. You should be using hearing protection. Problem solved!

Darn, I already have the Bauer blower. When it I need a new one, I will get this one, thanks Jimbo.
Which Bauer?
Bought one, Jimbo. Love it!!
Is it good to blow light dust off the car as well with low setting?
Ya for sure. No low setting though so you would have the throttle the trigger
Nice hairdryer
its great if you have long hair.
I’d recommend the Ego blower it’s a bit more expensive but worth it!
Been waiting for this to be available in Canada, hope it is soon.
Got it at Home Depot
Looks so cool! For me, it's one of those tools that I have to ask myself do I REALLY need one? Hmm.. 😏
How does it do on blowing grass off a lawn tractor?
6 hours later …..still wet 😢
We cant get this model in the uk 😢
This blower is awesome I bought one last week and it definitely comes in handy
Do HP batteries make a difference on this tool?
I notice a bit more performance
Looks solid Jimbo. I've been using a Ryobi leaf blower to dry over the past few years, which works but is a bit awkward. This is now on the list...
Nice... Killer track. Care to share who?

Not true
Why not use a leaf blower?
You def can. This is just a little more compact
I saw they also make a battery powered sprayer for things like clay or waterless wash. Probably uses the same battery.
yeah, ill stick to my towel...
Home Depot bare tool $99
I never realized Jimbo was shredded
i hide it with oversizes shirts and a fat suite normally.
I wish Ryobi sold this in the UK
They do
@@robertolombardi3698They do now….but they didn’t when commented. I’ve got one now and it’s just what I needed.
Leaves!!!
CFM? EGO is taking notes for smaller blower
Ryobi leaf blowers suck. I dont know how long this would last
I picked this up and wasn’t really impressed in terms of its power for drying cars. Need more cfm

Impossible to buy, no one has it
Looks like i would get aggravated with this
Cordless Hair Dryer.
works really fast at drying my hair right after a shower
Nah, I'll stick with my corded Toro blower💨 Two minutes to do what would take this toy a half hour to do. 🐌
Doesn’t look very powerful. If it was really powerful, you would see it move much more water off the car much quicker.
It’s pretty powerful compared to the old RYOBI workshop blower.

it’s powerful just smaller surface area
It’s good for the size as long you’re vehicle is waxed or ceramic coated and it good to have a second battery
Looks and sounds like it'll give you tinitus before it dries your car. 😅
Hahaha
Not too strong…SUCKS that it doesn’t come with a battery wtf lol
100% sucks they do that crap with the batteries.
Why not just use a Ryobi Jet Fan Leaf Blower? Much more powerful, gas powered, and can blow out a garage, yard, driveway, etc.
I really wanted to do a gas blower but it was super loud and I didn’t enjoy it
Looks weak
