I think the base price will be about the same as the ICE counterpart. At least, that is what I read about a year ago. Plus, we have seen it with a few cars from other luxury brands. Mercedes plans to do that with their E- G-Wagon and the i4’s base price is comparable to BMW’s ICE 4-series. What it will come down to are the add-ons and options. I ordered my i4 with nearly everything that was available and the final price was more than what the ICE 4 would have been with the same options. (A difference of just under 10k USD though.) I plan to do that with the e-Macan, too.😊

Would love to see the new Macan in at least one ICE variant!! Porsche continues to push the industry to higher standards and that’s why I’ll always be proud as a Porsche owner.

I test drove a Taycan 2 years ago and I was so impressed with how it drives. I think this new electric Macan will be on a whole new level

When Porsche speaks about something, they do it, even if they do not do it perfectly, they do it almost close to perfect. I can't wait to see how this master piece rolls out ☺☺
Still in love with the design of my 2021 Macan S and the sound of that engine, call me old fashioned and I love my Apple watch, but there’s something organic about an engine, a mechanical or automatic watch, even a manual coffee grinder.
not so sure about the two piece headlights, but other than that, a very nice car.
This has me excited for other variants in the Porsche family, specifically the upcoming electric Cayman and Boxster.

I’ve seen some news coverage that Porsche is girding its loins, as it were, production-wise in anticipation of keeping up with demand. Brilliant concept, and I am very much looking forward to seeing one up close when it comes to the market. One question I have is if the Porsche motor/magnet is free of rare, earth minerals. BMW uses a magnet-free motor, a feature I find attractive (pun not intended 😉).

I love my 2021 Macan and I would love to see a 2025/6 maybe with a hybrid.

I think a plug-in hybrid version would do very well in the USA. We simply do not have the infrastructure for convenient EV charging on road trips. Design is great!
I have something I'm really curious about. first. Why separate DLR and headlights? If you make it with a single lamp like before, wouldn't you be able to save money and reduce the weight of the car by making the structure simpler? Second. Is dividing the charging port into two halves an inevitable choice for body balance?
Not only that, the ole headlight in the bumper trick is not a good looking styling element.
new design language + decrease of insurance costs. if one thing breaks, u don't have to replace a full unit. this is a great step towards repairability

Over 500km on a full charge?! 100km in 4 minutes?! With repeatable sub-4.0 0-100 km?! If these figures prove true with real-world applications, this will be hard to pass up in a Porsche SUV.
I like how they have moved the light clusters around. Main LEDs lower than the LED day time running lights. Very Citroën…

2 problems:
1. The split-headlights look as disgusting as they look at BMW-cars.
2. As long as BEVs have a range problem especially at low temperatures, many people won`t buy the E-Macan.

Range figures are out. 305 miles for turbo and 325 miles for base going 60 miles per hour on a highway in warm weather with no wind.

Solid-state batteries can be over twice as energy-dense as current lithium-ion batteries. This means an EV’s battery pack would require fewer battery cells for the same capacity, and the pack would be lighter, thus improving the vehicle’s range, performance, and handling. The pack would also be physically smaller, so it wouldn’t have to take up the entire bottom of the car, thus allowing for improved interior use of space and more room for passengers or cargo
Please Porsche, make sure that you launch it with a range of no less than 600 km.

I wish they were doing a petrol version of this, but I'm glad their engineers were able to focus on optimizing a specific layout/drivetrain. This is going to be a very good EV.

I don’t like the bumper lights either. What’s the need for them if the headlights are LEDs? Are they running lights? Perhaps there will be some customization options that allow for their deletion.

Porsche: please please bring out a Macan PHEV, for those of us in America who do long road trips where the public-charging infrastructure is poor or non-existent, but where we can still drive locally most of the time in all-electric!
i really hope this just an EV variant...and we still get the Macan with the 2.0t and 3.0t gas engines...just with the new headlights...digital dash...HUD...night vision...and rear steer...

The Macan is too small of a vehicle to get a V8. Biggest engine you'll get in the ICE Macan is the 2.9 twin-turbo V6.
