We really loved living in England when we were stationed over there at RAF Mildenhall. There was always something to do or see!! So much history.
Tiny roads, tiny village...all so lovely. Yes, I do like your umbrella I love flowers in mine as well.

Mary Ann Anaya we go frequently to Phoenix. We thought of moving back but oh lord the heat and winter. There’s no seasons per say except northern AZ like flagstaff. But y’all have incredible sunrises-and sunsets. My MIL lives in Maricopa in the country. Never know we may cross paths💜
In India /Asia people are using umbrellas all the time! Both when it's raining and when it's sunny, because it gets way too sunny and hot and a hat just doesn't do much!
Plus, if you ask me, they are a good defense defence mechanism in a crowd😁☔ ☂️🌂
I live in Tucson, AZ and use my umbrella more in summer than any other time. My fave is a newly acquired Harry Potter one that shows the Marauder's Map and actual FEET PRINT on the few occasions we get a sprinkle or two of rain (mostly during June/July and Nov/Dec monsoons)

There was a lovely series filmed in Downham called “Born and Bred”. It is set in the 1950s and follows village life through the eyes of a country doctor and his family. My paternal family ancestry traces back to the areas around Pendle hill, where they were once gentry. As for the sheep in the cemetery, if one may quote the great Herr J S Bach, “schafe können sicher weiden”. Thank you for such a lovely video of one of my favourite parts of Lancashire.

What a great place you stayed at, I loved the room and the view. The place does indeed seem romantic, and the food looked great. Loved the sheep roaming around the grave yards. I would love to walk around the village's, that would be a very nice treat. Love all the old buildings. Thanks for taking us along. Oh yes...I loved the umbrella!!

Love Downham. I always stop there to take pictures and admire when I drive through it on my way to Barley, the foot of Pendle Hill. Also Gawthorpe Hall is awesome.
Oh wow I live two miles down the road from Downham in a village called Barley which is also very beautiful. If you’re ever this way again you should visit, it’s got two great pubs and is famous for the Pendle Witches! Other villages nearby are Roughlee and Newchurch. Xxx

We have goats here USA in rural graveyards to keep the grass from getting too high. we also have kudzu and it grows like crazy in the mountains. We don’t like to use any chemicals on our land and near ponds so we are getting goats soon to manage growth.
Yes, same here - the sheep are there to keep the grass short.

Not unusual to see Sheep and Goats in English churchyards it is a cheap way of keeping the grass short! If you go again to Lancashire make she you go to Pendle Witch country.
