For me, the biggest loss of those featured was George Alagiah. He always struck me as a pure gentleman, generous and professional to others. I was saddended to hear of his protracted cancer battle, and subsequent death. My own beloved Mother passed away suddenly, but peacefully on 5 April 2023, by Sub-arachnoid haemorrhage.....My life has not been the same, since 😔

Carl Davis' wife, actress Jean Boht, died just a month after him in September 2023. She played the matriarch in Bread. Dickie Davis, like John Motson a sport presenter, died just before Motson. So many more than 30 of our well known and well loved celebs died last year. Another bad one like 2016.
