This is by far the best video series on TH-cam on safely harnessing and driving a pony. The thoroughness of the presentation helped me realize a few better ways of harnessing and driving that I did not know. Thanks!
I have used these videos extensively as I was completely new to horses never mind driving. One year later and with much patience my horse and I have taken to the lanes for some very pleasureable drives. I cannot thank you enough for the information provided. It made the difference between success and failure.
Very thorough and descriptive video. Thank you! Especially helpful is the examples of the "wrong way" throughout. Sometimes learning the right way is best understood by observing the wrong way also. Thanks again for uploading.
I have just reviewed: Carriage Driving - Basic Driving, parts 1through 5. This has been the most comprehensive series on driving I have ever reviewed. From the impeccable turnout of driver, groom and horse, to the detailed visual and narrative, everything came together in my mind with clarity. I've come away from many books and videos feeling dazed and muddled. The emphasis on safety coincided with both reason and demonstration. I am most grateful to all! Many Thanks,
Thank you for this series of videos. I am moving on from heavy horse hauling in the field to carriage and competitive driving - on the road. Totally different harness and conveyance, as well as some minor yet important differences in the driving rules; the little snippets of advice cover things that I have forgotten or never learned in the first place. I start training this month and this series will be a definite reference guide.
Lovely pony. Very good information and very helpful. Thank you. It has helped greatly and very interesting and has helped me remember how to do things properly. Thank you very much.
El idioma para conducir coches de caballos tiene varios términos técnicos. Estoy seguro de que puedes encontrar las palabras correctas en español, con un poco de trabajo. Yo mismo he aprendido algunas palabras en español sobre caballos y equitación.
your vids are great!! - feel very confident in this information explained so clearly - i am a novice driver and some stuff shown on utube worries me as even i know it doesnt seem right. Thank you !! (any more coming?)
One hears a lot of carrying on from people about not storing a cart with the shafts on the ground. Clearly in this video carts are seen being stored this way, what's up with that?
No of fence to the people I. This video or any of the people who where involved in it but they make it out to be well and older persons sport the music the clothing and the general tone if the narrator make it seem more mundanity than it really is I'm 18 and I wan to become a whip so I can open my own wedding carriage business and to be truthful this has kinda turned me off of it because there making it look like it is meant for older people to do you know.

Are you in training yet? I'm needing to learn it generally for a job. At a glance it seems very difficult, at least remembering how to tack up.
Very different from American driving!

Silly, it's an old video but incredibly informative and a must to go to ,perhaps you would of preferred it being set to garage music 🙄
