I really enjoyed your live feed. Thank you for all the great commentary on the function of each carb component as well.

So glad you liked it! I never know when they go on that long if they’ll be worth watching. I try to keep the info coming as quickly as I can. Thanks for stopping by and thank you for that feedback.

Nice video and some good information of the newbees. Myself I have been rebuilding carburetors for over 50 years and still learning some new tricks. Allen's Carburetor And Electric, Oregon.

@@Snailmailtrucker I’ve done a couple livestreams doing just a tear down. Impossible to do tear down, clean and assembly in one video.

I was doing the jet change for the warmer weather yesterday and when I started the Mustang up I was Big Pig Rich. Because the carb was the only thing I changed here I am making sure I didn't miss something. I am disappointed I missed the live, especially because C&C was on line for the live. Love that guy! They are right up there with you LOL!

I ordered a new gasket set (part number 1472), and the gaskets for the primary boosters are a bit different in (I believe) the bypass 1st idle air bleed. Basically instead of have a open channel to the bypass it's covered. I made sure I ordered a Edelbrock kit, not summit brand. I guess I'm asking is there any reason to run one over the other? I'm sorry if I didn't explain it very well. I did come across a very interesting PDF for modification of the primary boosters. I can email it to you if your interested. It is really well put together with detailed images of the circuits and some modifications that make sense to a layman. You just better have an AFR gauge, lol.

@@BPattB we’ve talked about it on the channel years ago. It’s an old trick to restrict the air flow through the bleeds which in turn will richen up the idle circuit. That method has been around for ages but in all honestly, I’ve had to use it just a handful of times in the last 20 years. Every 5-10 years it gets talked about and then dies off. As soon as someone mentions it and if it will cure their problem and you start asking simple questions like, “what’s your timing set at, what step up springs did you use, what number are you at on the tuning chart” and they don’t know any of it? I generally just walk away from the conversation. 😆 Gotta get the simple stuff right before determining that you need something that 99.999999% of Edelbrock equipped engines don’t need.
