As a former programmer, I think it is inexcusable for Adobe to put out a product where people have to find a TH-cam video just to make simple adjustments to the interface. Altering the user experience/interface should be something that happens only with deliberate intentional actions by the user. Anyone on my old team who produced code which changed the user interface by default in direct contradiction of what the user has specified would have been told to go back to the design phase or find another profession.
Thanks for the quick and straight forward video, you saved me much time and aggrevation by showing how to get tool bar and menu to show on a document that has them hidden. Thank you again.
The better answer, for me at least, is to open a pdf document and go to Edit, Preferences, Documents and un-check the "Allow documents to hide the menu bar, toolbars, and window controls" This will set the menu bar, toolbars, etc., for all your documents.
Hello i have tried everything but how do i get the toolbar to show it self? i just deleted everything on my comp so it is in the state it was when i got it. :)
I can't even see the title bar... the F9 and F8 keys seem to do something... but I can't see them, they seem to be above what I can see on the screen. ?

Gerald Lee I haven't seen that work for the bank documents that come to me with toolbars off, but I'll double check.
This is good to know, too - and seems to work once you have the menu visible again.

Quarath01 command+shift+M will open the main menu bar while fn+f9 will open the tool bar on my Mac running 10.6.8
It solved my problem, but what is our world coming to when we need a video to tell us to hit F9?
