Just a heads up to everyone, one should be cautious uploading pdfs to an online editor, especially when these are banking docs or other docs that have your personal info. We do not know how your data will be safeguarded by the online companies.

(I was trying to edit a lease that already has an electronic signature on it, instead of their first name, what was on the document read as (insert first name) and they had already signed the document through HelloSign. Why are most of these apps hidden... years after owning computers l am discovering all sorts of goodies on my machine ... too busy previously but now retired got time to discover its capabilities
LibreOffice is quite a mature and very capable product. It works so well on Mac products. I recently installed version 7 as I start 2021 and don’t expect any concerns. There is a huge variety of tools in settings so the program can be ‘dressed’ to suit a look and your working style.
Hey Kevin. This video has great content. The 1st 2 suggestions are outdated as of today 03/19/2023. However, the Libre office is still holding strong. Those who run into issues may want to consider utilizing a browser like Epic or Brave. It seems like Chrome & Microsoft Edge don't like free software suggestions or block them and push you to their in "store" options. Thanks again.😇

Using word for editing pdf was a revelation! Good one Kevin. Also have a session on recommendations & usage of an app for digital signature. There are so many but as a user not sure which ones are safe to use & not prone to misuse
For me, password protection is a key requirement. I also need to easily convert jpgs to pdf, separate pdf docs in to individual pages, combine pdf images into single documents, and I always like the ability to fully edit pdf's. Having tried many free options, I bit the bullet and paid for Small PDF - they have a free version, but I needed the full service. Crazy that Adobe don't offer a product for occasional light weight users!
Still happy with Small PDF. But they have recently announced withdrawal of support for the locally based version. This has significant benefits over the online version. Especially the ability to password protect multiple documents. Waiting to see if the online version will incorporate the local version benefits.

I did notice that the online editor had an option to download a desktop client. Dunno if that's one of the freemium features.

Try LibreOffice. You will not miss MS Office for the most part.

Did you draw it on paper and then take a picture of it?
Yes l wondered that too🤔
The office app for examples displays a drawing area if you have no signature stored, but you can also take a picture or scan paper.
Draw and capture it, then convert it into your desired format.
If you have a mac, you can use "preview'-(comes preinstalled in Mac). It will allow you to create/save your signatures using your mouse or trackpad.

I have nitro pdf reader and I can also edit said pdf files with that. It's saved my butt many times in the past.
