@@Yankees121205 I’ve been driving Toyota’s for 40+ years. I currently own an 11 Rav 4WD Limited with a 3.5 V6. It has every option available for it in 11.
It only has 103K pampered miles. Since I retired I only drive about 5-6K miles a year. I LOVE the 269 hp & since Toyota no longer puts the V6 in the Rav, I plan on keeping it another 15 years. By then I’ll be 72, so I think I’ll treat myself to a Lexus AWD hybrid. My wife can drive it long after I’m dead and gone.

It's perfect around town and amazing on road trips. I only sold it because I put a deposit down on a 2023 Ioniq 5 Limited. I've been waiting over 5 mos, was told 2-4 and if it doesn't get here soon, I'm going to buy another Palisade. I just hated that everyone has one, their crowding the street. 🤪

Test drove Highlander vs Mazda CX9 vs Palisade. In terms of pleasure you get from driving dynamics nothing beats CX9. Especially if you will spend a lot of time on a road. Palisade is close second. Highlander was way too soft and all over the place in terms of precision for my liking. With Toyota having killed their v6, and if I had to buy right now I’d probably go with CX9. Ideally I’d wait for 2024 CX90s with all new L6 for hopefully better towing rating over ridiculous cx9s 3500lbs.

People who hate on Hyundai/Kia, is really low-key envious that their brands is not offering the same level of tech and features that they wish they had. Just to pretend to be content all because it's a "Toyota" or "Honda". I remembered Panoramic roof wasn't a thing on non-luxury cars, until Hyundai/Kia implemented those features in their lineups. I'm actually shocked at what the Koreans are doing in the auto market. They keep me excited and interested on their design language. I can't really say that for Toyota and Honda. They got some work cut out for themselves.

love the reliability and value of Toyota; unsurpassed. but, if you are a taller, heavier person than say 5'8", Toyota seats are not the best. for this reason, I buy other brands. a pity Toyota refuses to give us the seats found in Benz, BMW, etc; even the Nissan seats are better.

Because of people with the stereotype want to get rid of the image, they want the vehicles to look sportier and more muscular, while minivans have better fuel economy, ride quality, more space and cheaper purchase, fit the need of most people. TBH, the modern SUV is just a lift/stylish minivan.

Who needs a 3rd row? I can't help but wonder which families in the North America are having 5 kids these days and actually need a 7 seater?! The average number of kids per family in 2020 in the United States is 1.93. In Canada, the average number of children per family is 1.1. In fact in China, the average number of children per family was 1.18 in 2020. India reports an average of 2.22 children per family. So if we assume the average family is having 1 - 2 kids, why would the auto industry be so focused on 7 seaters? OH yeah it's just marketing bigger and more expensive and more profitable SUV's that no one actually needs Of all the 3 row SUV's that are being sold, I would love to see actual stats regarding how many buyers actually use the third row! I would much rather have a smaller SUV with 5 seats, more fuel efficient, and ultimately more cargo room! That's plenty for 99% of the families out there!!!!
