Nice engine sound, looks good! As a classic car collector for 25 years, I can tell you that frustrations are all-inclusive but joy will prevail in the end.

running in an 'old' car must be fun.
will they examine the oil at the first change ?
it can reveal a lot.

Me too. I guess they’ll check the first oil, I’ll certainly mention it. They checked the old oil that came out of the engine before rebuild.

Sounds expensive having all that work done. It took my mate 6 years to sort his turbo s3 out. In the end the joys always outweigh the frustrations. Im sure you will post something in the next few weeks. Also iridium plus will make it so much easier to start if you don't have them already.

Thanks - yes for sure it wasn't cheap - and I'm unlikely to get the money back in value but it's one of those things where you either have to spend it and have a car you can use or sell it and have less money and no car!

Sounds a like it's got an exhaust manifold leak but that may just be on the video. These can go away (or get worse!) when the engine warms up.

Hopefully not - it’s all brand new and passed the MOT. The exhaust does have to come off soon though.

Great having the Esprit back with you let’s hope you can start to enjoy this great classic car .it’s a shame you had such a frustrating time getting parts for the Esprit but it seems to be part of the course now when ordering most things not just for classic car.
