Just watching these old clips makes my wallet burn in my pocket. 400 pounds for a Capri, a thousand-odd pounds for an MG B GT, 3600 for an Esprit, and a Golf 1 GTI for a bargain. The same goes for the parts, also cheap. Over here them Capri's go for 3500 euros, rotten to the bone most of the time. And you'll put down 6000-odd euros for a decent running one, with (near) perfect examples now between 10 and 20 grand, now in 2023. Just to start showing you the price difference from then till now. Makes my nearly 23-year-old arse just wish I was born earlier.

Nothing a rust breaker can't fix as long as threads are intact(or you can heat them up like Edd did). Much worse when they're brief or outright non-existent

right, goes through all the efffort and doesnt change the camtower seals, do a leak down or verify if piston rings are shot lmao. When i pulled my 907 in my 78 s2. I had the entire fucker rebuilt. Not going through the effort of pulling it to not too
@@blakeriley6690 Cam tower seals? If you've worked on a 907, you should know that the cam towers are sealed with an anaerobic sealant. There are no seals.
