  • We have been experiencing an ongoing stalling with this 2002 Buick LeSabre, Initially I thought it was the fuel pump, as it had 230 thousand miles on it, so after installing a new one, we ended up on the side of the road twelve miles from home, I then decided to have the shop fix it, and after another pump and an oil pressure switch was installed it ran and drove, well at least here in town, I decided to drive it to town today and it stalled four miles from home, Long story short, I watched a video from Wild runner 1304 here on TH-cam and was able to get the car running again avoiding further towing charges and more shop fees, A huge thank you to Wildrunner1304 for the very helpful video he uploaded, be sure to go check out his video and channel
    Thanks for Watching

    The MAF sensor is on the other side, in the air intake tube, and yes it is probably failing. While creating a MIL code, disconnecting the MAF sensor would force the ECU into its default setting, allowing your engine to run, with reduced fuel economy.

    I had the same problem it ended up being that there was water in the fuel drained it all out put fresh fuel and it worked. Added some fuel injector cleaner and water remover filled up the tank and is running stronger then ever.

    It just did the same thing today. What else could it be? Plugs and wires, coils?

      Fuel pump, injectors, crank sensor, all can cause stalling issues

      @ItsaRomethingeveryday Before I installed the map sensor, I took it to a shop and said the fuel pump was good. They said I needed a major tune up. I thought I was good after installing the map sensor. Shit is frustrating

    You put tour foot on the brake and the gas AND THEN put in drive? Im gonna try this unplugging the sensor solution , Ijust want to know why you couldnt rev it in Neutral instead. Also how much rev did you give it..... Approximately?

    I doubt unplugging the PCV valve had anything to do with it. You should've tried unplugging the MAF sensor, it's located right by your air intake hose can't miss it. These are usually the culprit, I'm also surprised your mechanic didn't try that first.

    • @ItsaRomethingeveryday
      @ItsaRomethingeveryday  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pcv valve on this car has a sensor that plugs in above it that was in fact the culprit

      Sounds like the evap system is malfunctioning, try only filling half to three quarters of a tank and see if that temporarily helps until you or a shop can remedy it
