Europeans know what dogs look like. It's really only Americans who shoot at anything that moves without looking, hunters, cops, soldiers, students ....
OK... THIS is what I need mid-week, I cannot believe just how much I Love Aperitivo50 and how I feel after watching the videos. I love all things Italian, the countryside, the weather, the food and the people.... and of course you Nicki & Carlo. I'm not going to lie, I think this is fast becoming my fav channel.... 😁❤✌🙏
Absolutely loved being part of your walk. So interesting to see the abandoned buildings in this beautiful landscape. Indy is such a good doggy. You have trained her well. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The video editing, your chatting, and the music made this the most enjoyable experience. I did really feel as if I was on the walk with you. Thank you!
That was pure tonic for one American still in shock and now in fear of what will happen to my country...your gorgeous scenery and calming narrative was such a gift...thank you
So pretty. If I were younger ( not 81) I would love to move there. The dream feels ( viseral) so exciting inside myself. I feel the yearning strongly when watching your films. Thank you for the thrills! Blessing to you, your family, and the sweet pets!💕
Dear three ladies (Bernadette, Sticker and Ruth) pining for the hills of Tuscany, Please meet up, rent a little house for a month or two, and immerse yourselves in Italy. xoxo from Boston, USA
Fully agree. I took a semester in Italy in 1985 and would go back in a heartbeat but I can no longer travel due to cancer. I can dream and imagine so I love the sights and feels of Nicki & Carlo’s videos and experiences. ❤
I think that pilgrimage walk you talked about would be life changing and all of us would love it more than we can say. Even this walk was super wonderful. It was an adventure xo thank you!!!
Nikki, I believe this is one of your best videos. I so enjoyed you taking us followers along your walk of such an interesting path and village. I can see why you felt like you had company while walking. This was beautiful. I watched this while on my my exercise bike. Thank you. ❤❤❤
wow, thank you so much for taking us with you on this amazing walk! I love seeing those old buildings and imagining the landscape a century ago. Indie is such a good pup, I'm so impressed with her.
My husband and I started the Via Francigena starting in Canterbury, with a pilgrims blessing in the undercroft of Canterbury Cathedral and we walked as far as Arras in France for the first stage. We stayed at a variety of accommodation but it’s scarce without coming too far off the route. We thought it was all about the walk, but the thing that stayed with us was the kindness of strangers… quite humbling…..
What a wonderful walk! I must admit I was a bit scared for you, but you told us at the end that you ae not scared. I am so curious about why so many properties are abandoned. Of course, there is probably a different story for every property! Hope you had a great lunch after the walk!!
Sorry for italian language, I hope you can traslate
Loved that walk with you! Thank you. You brought up a long ago memory for me. My husband and I had a convention in Las Vegas and I had never been. So I decided to be dropped off at one end of the famous “strip” and walk back to where I could catch the shuttle for our hotel. Got dropped off in the morning. Walked the entire day, just strolling in and out of the casinos. We had a fancy dinner to attend that evening so I got back to the hotel about 4:00pm. I took off my shoes and my feet were on fire!! I got some ice and ran a bath of cold water to soak my feet. That made it worse! I had heels to wear that night. OMG I could barely stand. I suffered through getting there and figured I’d just sit at a table. Nope! The tables were all stand up- as we were supposed to mingle. I was in tears by this point! I took my shoes off, hobbled over to a wall and sat down. It was embarrassing but I couldn’t do anything else. Oh my I just look back and think how naive I was. After the event I hobbled without shoes back to our room. The next morning my feet were better. When I told the maid that came in the next morning she said I probably walked more than 10 miles… on concrete! And I didn’t have very good shoes either 🤦🏻♀️ Live and learn 😂.
Stunning scenery, the countryside there is so peaceful and the sun is shining. Indie is good company too. Thank you so much for taking us with you it was delightful!
I think you have many US viewers. Italy doesn't have much crime in the countryside plus Indie would never let anything happen to her mommy😊 we moved to the country in 2019 to escape urban sprawl and are loving the lifestyle and people❤
I wish there was a "LOVE" ❤ to click for this video! This was truly outstanding, Nicki! The accompanying music made it even more special. Thank you so, so much!
I’m a little late with my comment, but, I wanted to express just how much I LOVED this!!…I actually watched it twice!!…I can’t tell you how much I am enjoying this new little channel! We get to see SO many places we, otherwise, might not even know exist! The information you provide is just GREAT…like, the pigeon houses! BRAVO….Well done, Nikki! 🫶🏻 Thank you! 😍❤
That was such a lovely walk, thank you for taking us with you. I would never do that walk in the USA. I live in a very beautiful part of the US near the Gorge alond the Columbia River. At one time I hiked to half of the waterfalls on both sides of the River. One side is in Oregon the other in Washington with the Columbia dividing the states. I always went with someone but these days being single I would be afraid to do it. It is unsafe for a woman alone especially a 77 year old. You are very fortunate to be able to feel safe in your country.
What a lovely walk. I wouldn't mind living in that area, I love walking in the countryside, especially with a dog. My little pup is now 6 months old and she is just loving going for walks. Thanks for sharing with us today.
I love the way you talked about sharing your walk with us , heartfelt . Can you imagine those abandoned homes being renovated , they’d be amazing in Tuscan countryside
Awesome!! Through your lens, I am given the gift of seeing things I would never see. Even when one visits another country, only the tourist highlights are seen. Italy is not only gorgeous, but little treasures are around every corner. Thank you so much for taking us along.
Nicki, think we were all house shopping for your brother throughout all of this beautiful walk....nothing better than abandoned houses, magic tree circles, beautiful Tuscan views and countryside❣xxx
Loved this walk, thanks so much! Such a great way to start my Wednesday evening. The greatest thing of all is that you are completely safe doing this by yourself in the countryside. Wonderful!
An amazing walk with astounding views to die for.Why are so many beautiful homes abandoned in Italy it pains me to see houses just going to ruin and there are millions of homeless people worldwide who could make good use of these buildings. Can't wait to see you taking us inside more abandoned houses so we could get a glimpse into how people lived. Thanks for a wonderful walj.
I would love to see more walking videos of the Tuscan region! Love both your channels especially when Carlo speaks Italian because I no longer have family to converse in Italian.
Another lovely episode.Really enjoyed last weeks linguistic quirks.Might be fun to compare italian and english proverbs sometime.Do they have equivalents to ‘ a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush’ or ‘all that glitters is not gold’
Ciao, Nikki! Mille grazie for all the commentary on the area, the abandoned buildings, and general info about Italy! I really enjoyed it all! Glad to see all's going well there!
What a lovely walk, from my comfy armchair. 😆 I was just thinking to myself that is far more interesting walk than I ever get to see and then you said it yourself. Thanks for sharing.
I thoroughly enjoyed going for a hike with you. I felt like I was really there. My husband and I hike a lot in Arizona, but Italy is much different. Your part of the world is much greener.
You need to put an orange vest on your dogs while off leash so they don't get shot during hunting season. I love these walks. Thanks for sharing.
Europeans know what dogs look like. It's really only Americans who shoot at anything that moves without looking, hunters, cops, soldiers, students ....
Ooh never thought of that, good idea 👍
I agree.
This is what I came to say as well! We don't want Indie being mistaken for a boar in the brush!
Such a good point..Never thought of that!
OK... THIS is what I need mid-week, I cannot believe just how much I Love Aperitivo50 and how I feel after watching the videos. sono toscana per cui ti ringrazio infinitamente non solo per aver scelto la Toscana ma per il nodo così delicato e gentile con cui lo mostri! GRAZIE!
The video editing, your chatting, and the music made this the most enjoyable experience. I did really feel as if I was on the walk with you. Thank you!
Thank you Nicki for taking us on your walk it s been lovely ❤
That was pure tonic for one American still in shock and now in fear of what will happen to my country...your gorgeous scenery and calming narrative was such a gift...thank you
It makes me sad to see these old abandon houses! What was their story? Why is abandoned? I have love and empathy for these old houses😌
Usually not viable to live there and also owned by many members of a family who can’t make a joint decision what to do with them
I know. Was hoping she told us.
They all seem so tragic…once loved, now abandoned…😢
Loved our walk and talk!!! The scenery is lovely and peaceful!!!! Thank you!
So pretty. If I were younger ( not 81) I would love to move there. The dream feels ( viseral) so exciting inside myself. I feel the yearning strongly when watching your films. Thank you for the thrills! Blessing to you, your family, and the sweet pets!💕
I am your age and would move in an instant if I was younger. My adventures now are lived thru Nicki.
Me too. I have a longing to sell up my home on the south coast of England and go and live the dream.

Loved enjoying your olive harvest w/you. I think about 40 kilos is my guess. I know it takes a lot to make the oil.
What an absolute treasure walking without being afraid, long may it last ❤
Thank you for taking us on the most delightful walk with you
this was a lovely episode, Nicki. I would love to see more like this. Very calming and beautiful. Thank you.

I said nearly the exact same thing. I absolutely LOVED this episode!!🎉
wow, thank you so much for taking us with you on this amazing walk! I love seeing those old buildings and imagining the landscape a century ago. Indie is such a good pup, I'm so impressed with her.
Enjoyed "our " walk! Thank you! ❤
9:32 This gives me vibes of Bramasole from Under the Tuscan Sun. ☀️
Thank you for taking me along! Lovely walk.

😂😂Love your honesty ❤
Oh yes, the balls story!! 😂😂❤❤
Nothin like a pair of giant balls 😂
